Vegas and poker go hand-in-hand, don’t they? From the World Series of Poker (WSOP) to the lavish poker rooms of today, Las Vegas is a poker player’s dream. As the worldwide leader in poker, there are over 50 poker rooms in the Las Vegas area today. We’ve personally played in numerous Vegas poker rooms, which makes us qualified to determine who the best ones are in the city. Here’s our list:
We’ll be dead honest, composing this list of the best poker rooms in Vegas was far, far from easy. But hey, someone had to do it, right? Why not us who’ve played in these rooms over the last decades? Here’s our top-10 list (in no order):
Play where the pro’s play at one of the 40 poker tables in the 7,000 sq ft Bellagio Poker room. The famed two-table Bobby’s Room, named after the winner of the 1978 WSOP Bobby Baldwin, is home to pros like Daniel Negreanu, Jennifer Harman, Phil Ivey, and poker legend Doyle Brunson.
With almost 11,000 sq ft, the Venetian Poker room is one of the biggest in Vegas. The 39 poker tables feature limit and no-limit Texas Hold ‘Em, Omaha or Stud poker with reasonable starting stakes. They also offer a high-stakes area that features seven tables, fabulous dining, and even butler service.
When it comes to comfort, service, and great card playing action, few can match the MGM Grand’s Poker room. This 22-table, non-smoking, card playing paradise is open 24 hours a day. Popular games include limit and no-limit Texas Hold’em, seven-card stud, and a variety of exotic mixed games.
With over 14,000 sq ft of floor space, Caesars Palace has the largest poker exclusive area in Las Vegas. There’s great poker-action 24 hours a day at over 62 tables. Caesars poker room offers multi level cash games, daily tournaments, and the Caesars Classic tournament series that takes place every autumn.
The Wynn Poker room is a prime example of luxury to the max. The 26-tables offer a variety of games and stakes suitable to any caliber of play. Higher limit games are available upon request and the Wynn offers some of the best poker tournament action in Vegas.
Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel is largely credited for taking poker to the global stage. With a classic mix of decades old heritage, to their modern atmosphere of today, a Las Vegas poker playing trip isn’t complete without a visit to Binion’s – the original home of the WSOP.
As the only poker room in Vegas to feature 100% certified WSOP card dealers, the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino is a must stop for poker players with any level of experience. The Rio offers up to four daily poker tournaments, plus exotic card action such as Badugi, A-5 Triple Draw, and 2-7 Triple Draw.
Just west of the Las Vegas Strip, The Orleans Hotel & Casino Poker room features 35 tables in a “Big Easy” setting reminiscent of Bourbon Street After extensive renovations, the Orleans poker room is now equipped with state-of-the art plasma televisions and luxury furnishing.
With reasonable low limits, to some of the highest stakes in Las Vegas, poker enthusiasts get it all in the Palms Poker room. Players earn valuable rewards with their Palms Club card and room service delivers tableside dining in the poker room 24 hours a day.
