Unless you’re new to this game, you’ve likely already heard of 5Dimes. Their odds are quoted on any number of gaming sites and media outlets on mega-events like the Super Bowl to fun and entertaining contests like hotdog eating competitions.
Founded in 1996 and based in Costa Rica, 5Dimes has been around as long as any other major name in the offshore betting industry. The quality and consistency of this unique bookmaker has made it a top choice for sports enthusiasts and bettors across the States.
In addition to its sportsbook and racebook, the gaming platform offers an online casino and poker room, with all the bells and flashing lights of Las Vegas betting.
5Dimes accepts major credit cards
24/7 customer support
Easy-to-use system with reliable payments
Old design
I was underwhelmed with my first visit to the 5Dimes website, especially with all the anticipation after reading such great online accolades.
It wouldn’t make me flee the site, but the type size is quite small and the link for new members was much harder to find compared to its online gaming competition.
New members must be 18 years of age or older, and of legal age in your jurisdiction, to use this gaming platform. You must have funds in your account to place a wager.
There are two locations to register on the home page, but they seem lost in the clutter at the top of the screen in fine print and on the right side of the screen with a blue “Register Now” tab.
Fill out the registration form and then make a deposit. Only U.S. dollars and cryptocurrencies are accepted.
As well as some sort of percentage on your first deposit, 5Dimes has a wide selection of offers for new members, but the sportsbook currently restricts players from Costa Rica, France, Hungary, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, the U.K., and Ukraine. It does, however, accept members from all U.S. states.
Most of the heavy hitters in the industry don’t seem to offer a lot of exotic bonuses to attract new members. 5Dimes bucks the trend.
Open up an account with 5Dimes today and 50 per cent of your initial deposit up to $520 will be added to your bankroll in increments as a welcome bonus. It’s the same percentage offer as other sportsbooks.
There is a $25 minimum on your deposit to qualify for the bonus.
For example, you join 5Dimes and make an initial deposit of $200. You will get 10 bonuses applied to your account of $10 each (50% of $200).
Every time you play $200 in the main sportsbook, $10 will be automatically awarded to your free-play balance. In other words, you are required to play $2,000 in total in the main sportsbook to receive your full welcome bonus of $100 based on a $200 deposit.
But the bonuses don’t end there when you join. New members are automatically enrolled in the reduced juice program where the takeout (juice) by the sportsbook is less on every bet.
5Dimes clients may also choose from the following bonuses when creating their account:
The programs do change from time to time and there are terms and conditions on all of them. Click on the underlined “Rewards” option at the top of the home page to understand what program you are agreeing to join.
If members run into a problem or have a question, they can reach out to 5Dimes customer support in English or Spanish using one of the following options:
Assistance is offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week and most reviews find the live chat option requires little waiting time for a connection.
The “Help Center” can be found at the top of the 5Dimes home page. This section is excellent to answer most of your questions and queries without having to contact the support team.
The list of categories in the Help Center, which includes frequently asked questions, are:
If you still can’t find the answer to your issue, the Live Help option for members is the quickest form of support.
It seems 5Dimes has a bonus or promotion for just about everything on this site. The company seems to pride itself on better odds and payouts for players.
The gaming site offers more than 1,000 wagering options every day, including lottery and bingo.
When you arrive in the sportsbook section, you will find betting lines on the following sports: football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, cricket, golf, horse racing futures, motorsports, rugby, tennis, wrestling, boxing/MMA, darts, Olympics, snooker, eSports, and other sports.
The site also offers information tabs like sportsbook intro, sportsbook rules, wager types/payoffs, in-game betting, dynamic lines, and stats center.
Leagues based in the U.S. get the most attention in the sportsbook, especially since almost 88 per cent of its customers are Americans, but betting lines are offered on games and leagues from around the world.
The minimum bet in the sportsbook is another perk for new players. You can bet as low as 50 cents (five dimes) on some straight bets. For high rollers, the maximum bet is $5,000 for major sports, and players can re-bet multiple times.
Another feature is listed on overnight lines, where bettors can wager five cents on the money line until 8 a.m. the next day on Major League Baseball games.
There are 10-cent run lines and 10-cent totals on MLB, which are available overnight and through game day right up to the first pitch of every regular season game.
The available bet types in the sportsbook is extensive: straight bets such as the money line, point spread, run line, puck line, over/under totals, prop bets, parlays and round-robins, teasers and pleasers, halftime betting, futures, live betting, and special wagers, such as if-bets, rolling if-bets, reverse bets, multi-chance parlays, multi-chance teasers, progressive pleasers, Asian handicaps, and action points.
The Racebook tab takes horse players to racetracks around the world, including the top tracks in the nation such as Belmont Park, Churchill Downs, and Santa Anita.
Wagering options on these races include: win, place, show, exacta, trifecta, superfecta, daily double, pick 3, and other exotic selections.
Horse players have two options on where to play at 5Dimes. They can choose the Rebate Racebook, where players earn nine per cent cash back on all of their horse wagers, or Plus 10% Racebook, where bettors can gain an additional 10 per cent on all their winnings.
Do you want to bet in real time? 5Dimes offers “In-Game Betting” in the sportsbook where members can wager on up-to-the-minute betting lines for live events in football, basketball, baseball, tennis, UFC, and more.
Also called in-play or in-running wagering, your welcome bonus cannot be used for live betting where the odds change with every goal, injury, timeout and simply a stoppage in play where momentum of the game has shifted.
To play, log into the sportsbook and click on “Straight & Rif” from the left-hand menu. Select the specific sport you want to wager on.
Players can also choose to receive a cash rebate on their live betting wagers through the Live Betting Ultra offer.
Whether it’s cash games, daily and weekly tournaments or freerolls, you will find it in a 5Dimes poker room.
The blue “Poker” tab is found at the top right of the home page. Within that category, members can learn the basics of the game, what promotions are offered, how to get started in the poker room, and all the details about 5Dimes daily tournaments and cash games.
The poker room also allows head-to-head competitions and highlights its monthly guaranteed tournaments.
While Caesars Palace has two separate casinos on its huge mega property, 5Dimes offers twice the fun of that iconic Las Vegas resort with four exciting game rooms for its members.
Click on the “Casino” tab at the top of the 5Dimes home page and get ready for some non-stop excitement in one of these rooms: Grand Casino, Jackpot Casino, Bonus Casino, and MatchPlay Casino.
All of these gaming areas offer plenty of titles to choose, but the focus is a little different in each room:
Slot titles in the Grand Casino are powered by Real Time Gaming, while the games in the Jackpot Casino are powered by Betsoft.
Reviewers online found the best experience with the Betsoft 3D slot games. Here is a breakdown of the slot games in each gaming area:
Players will find a true Vegas experience in the Live Dealer Casino at 5Dimes. There are variations on all the favorite table games such as blackjack, roulette, and baccarat.
The room is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Players should find the odds attractive as some games feature enhanced payouts.
Also, members should consider the live dealer rebate on games such as Blackjack No Hole Card, Blackjack Unlimited, Baccarat, Roulette, and Casino Hold’em. Every wager placed on these games qualifies for the rebate, which is added to your account after your game session ends.
Electronic sports, or eSports, has taken video gaming to new heights, with the popularity spilling over to sports betting.
Bettors can wager on the money line for matches or tournaments, choose from a number of prop bets, or take their wagering to another level with live betting as all the action unfolds in popular games like CounterStrike, Dota 2, League of Legends, and Rainbow Six Siege.
The betting limit on the money line is $500, although you can bet the limit unlimited times. The limit on prop bets is $250.
5Dimes is one of the best sites on the Internet for promotions, bonuses and contests. It gives you more bang for your buck in whatever gaming area you are placing your bets.
As always, read the conditions attached to each promotion before submitting the bonus code.
