Will there be a champion crowned on Tuesday night in Kansas City? The Giants hope so, while the Royals hope to play just one more game. San Francisco and Kansas City move their exciting series back to Kauffman Stadium for game six as the Giants lead 3-2. Jake Peavy and Yordano Ventura will oppose each other in a rematch of game two starters. We are going to place our bet on the Giants Tuesday night as they bring home another championship.
San Francisco closing in on third title in five years
The Giants had not won a World Series since moving from New York to San Francisco. Then, Bruce Bochy happened to the franchise. Bochy took the helm of the team, leading the Giants to a World Series title in 2010 and 2012. He has them back in the World Series here in 2014 after another NL pennant. A win tonight, or tomorrow night, and Bochy should punch his ticket to the Hall of Fame as a manager.
Royals looking for first title since 1985
Kansas City has two opportunities to win their first World Series title since 1985, when George Brett brought a championship to the city. This is Ned Yost’s first managerial go-around in the playoffs and he has performed admirably. Only one game has been remotely close, the Royals game three win in San Francisco. All other games have been blowouts, no matter who won. Tonight should be another fun contest, especially with rookie flamethrower Ventura on the mound for the Royals.
As the Giants prepare to visit the Royals in game six of the World Series on Tuesday night, we will prepare our wager with the odds found at Bovada.lv. We are going to put 10 percent of our bankroll on the Giants and the OVER 7 total runs scored at -120 as they win the series 4-2 over the Royals.
