Right around the corner, mixed martial arts fans will be treated to another great event, with UFC 258 all set to take place on Saturday, Feb. 13. With that said, here at Vegas Betting we’ve got you covered with UFC 258 picks for Usman vs. Burns and more. Read on for what we expect to happen on the 13th.
Kamaru Usman is expected to take down Gilbert Burns in the main event
In the headliner of the evening, Kamaru Usman is expected to take down Gilbert Burns in the main event. In this welterweight affair, Usman is the favorite, as the talented fighter holds -260 odds. Meanwhile Burns is a bit of an underdog, with the Vegas sportsbooks presenting him with +207 odds.
Regardless of that, this is still expected to be a great fight. It’s the main event of UFC 258 for a reason: both men will enter the octagon hoping to land massive blows on their opponent. Keep in mind as well that both of these guys have some pretty darn impressive power. They both have knockout punches in their arsenal.
Entering the highly-anticipated fight, Usman is 17-1-0 in his career, while Burns checks in at 19-3. The two have enjoyed plenty of success, as their records surely do stand out. With that being said, Usman is the favorite for a reason here. He’s been absolutely dominant in his most recent fights.
The expectation is that he’ll be able to use his power to slowly but surely start to wear Burns down. While we think this will be a good fight and it won’t end in the first round, we’ve simply got to go with Usman as our pick in this case. He’s going to prove to be too much for Burns to handle. Go with Usman, no question.
Uriah Hall vs. Chris Weidman has officially been delayed
As good as the Usman vs. Burns fight will be, Uriah Hall vs. Chris Weidman was all set to be an outstanding co-main event and UFC fans were counting down the hours to see the two middleweights go at it. Unfortunately, Uriah Hall vs. Chris Weidman has officially been delayed.
The news just came in after it was revealed that Weidman has tested positive for the coronavirus. Now, instead of the two fighting on Feb. 13, things have already been rescheduled for late April. It’s a massive bummer for UFC fans because this was all set to be an incredible meeting.
With that fight now off the table, UFC 258 has lost a bit of its sizzle. For those of you who were looking to get bets in on this fight, you’re going to have to wait a little longer for them to face off. Once April does roll around, though, this Weidman vs. Hall tilt will be one you’re going to want to certainly bet on.
Parlays to consider for UFC 258
With several other fights on the card with many available UFC Odds, there are most definitely some parlays to consider for UFC 258. In this case, we’re looking at a three-way parlay. In case you don’t know, a parlay is where you put together multiple odds for one big bet. In essence here, we’re picking three fighters to ALL come out victorious.
The odds of that happening won’t be high, which means you’d see a nice payout. For UFC 258, the three-way parlay we like is going with Usman, Alexa Grasso and Kelvin Gastelum all to come out on top. The odds of all three hitting is set at +250.
So, if you decide to put down $100 on this three-way parlay, you’d win $250 if all three fighters get the job done. It’s a bit of a risky play, but keep in mind that Usman, Grasso and Gastelum are favorites to win. If they take care of business and fight the way we know they’re capable of, this could happen.
Again, there’s always going to be a risk with a parlay. If Grasso and Usman win, but Gastelum somehow loses, then you’ve lost your parlay here. With that being said, this could be a sneaky good pick for you to make for UFC 258. We’ll see how this parlay pick plays out, but we feel strongly about it.
