Texas is making moves regarding its horrific starting rotation, but nothing that will improve the club. Joe Saunders has been designated for assignment, but their staff still is one of the worst in the American League. Baltimore, on the other hand, is moving closer to first place in the American League East. They trail the Blue Jays by just 1.5 games. We are going to back the Orioles as they take game two of this four-game set at home.
Baltimore closing in on first-place in the East
The Orioles are inching closer to the top spot in the East with each passing day. They are 6-4 in their last 10 games played and grabbed a win in the opener of this series by a score of 7-1. They look to do much of the same in game two tonight when T.J. McFarland takes the mound. This is the first start for McFarland since late June of 2013 and just the second of his young career.
Texas continues to struggle in the West with pitching
Texas has one of the worst starting rotations in baseball even after designating Joe Saunders for assignment on Tuesday. They enter tonight 14 games out of first in the AL West with no indication that they will compete this year for a playoff spot. The Rangers will counter tonight with Nick Martinez, who is just 1-5 with an ERA of 4.65. He lasted just 2.1 innings in his last start, which came against the Detroit Tigers.
Our bet for MLB action on Tuesday night to start the month of July will be placed at Bovada.lv, where the host Orioles are favored to win this game. We are going to drop 15 percent of our bankroll on Baltimore and the -134 money line as they take the second of four in this set from the Rangers, who are quickly falling into obscurity.
