Munich went three matches without a win before the recent international break. The 1-0 defeat to Villa in the Champions League was the sandwich filling between a 1-1 draw with Leverkusen and a 3-3 draw with Frankfurt.
Kane didn’t find the net in any of the three matches and was largely anonymous. He did bounce back with a hat-trick against Stuttgart at the weekend. Stuttgart is also in the Champions League and is a more than capable team.
Both Robert Lewandowski and Harry Kane have points to prove in this showdown.
Lewandowski would love to put one over his former employers, as would his Barcelona head coach, Hansi Flick.
Harry Kane will be keen to back up his weekend treble with another goal in a big game against. These are the big matches he left Spurs to play in. And more goals in these types of fixtures will shut his critics up.
