As we inch closer to Super Bowl XLVIII, the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks continue to prepare for the biggest game of the NFL season. It will be played at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 6:25 PM ET as fans of both teams are likely to celebrate with a ‘bowl’ of their own. This is a very tough game to predict, since it features two number-one seeds, but we find ourselves backing the AFC champion Broncos over the NFC champion Seahawks.
Denver Broncos: Will the frigid temps affect offense?
We have to ask this question because it is inevitable; will the frigid temperatures in New Jersey affect the league’s number-one offense? Obviously, we don’t know the answer to this question, but it is very possible. Peyton Manning broke league records for passing yards in a season and touchdown passes in a season in just his second year with the Broncos. He will bring his golden arm to the Super Bowl looking for his second title and first for Denver since 1998.
Seattle Seahawks: Offense needs to start fast
Seattle’s offense does not want to be left out of the conversation leading up to Super Bowl Sunday and they will make sure to score early and often once the game is here. Seattle’s offense is not as high-powered as Denver’s, but it can still be very dangerous. Russell Wilson has burst onto the scene since winning the starting quarterback job with Seattle last year and he has not showed any signs of slowing up anytime soon.
