Deontay Wilder will be dangerous for every minute of every round in this marquee championship fight. He has the potential to end this bout with one wicked punch at any time.
The boxing betting lines agree as they list the WBC heavyweight champion as the favorite (-165) to defeat Tyson Fury (+135) on Dec. 1 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles (odds provided by Bovada). Fury is the challenger and former WBO/IBF and WBA champion.
“I know I’m the best. Are you up for the test?” Wilder shouts at Fury in a promo video for the fight.
There are only two outcomes to bet on with the money line, but the payoffs are drastically different for each result in this championship fight.

Fury, at six-foot-nine and 260 pounds, has outboxed opponents in his most challenging fights, while Wilder, at six-foot-seven and 226 pounds, just drills everyone in his path.
This fight truly puts the heavyweight division back in the spotlight.
Fury was struggling in 2017. He was overweight, had his license removed and lost his three belts. The challenger has won two fights since his return, including a victory over former world title holder Francesco Pianeta in the summer.
His inactivity from the ring, however, may be the 30-year-old’s biggest detriment. This is the most dangerous fight of his career. He will have to step up his game against the 33-year-old Wilder, who will be making his eighth title defense.
“Every victim that has stepped in the ring, I done knocked them out in devastating fashion,” Wilder told Fury. “You’ve never been knocked out, but you’re gonna feel the experience, what it feels to get hit by the Bronze Bomber.”
Each of the champ’s last seven fights have ended before the final round and the American has been the one responsible for delivering the knockout blow.
