Betting to win 2023 Azerbaijan Grand Prix
Before we get into the rest of the betting for the 2023 F1 season, let’s first take a look at the odds to win the 2023 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. As we’ve already mentioned, Max Verstappen is the favorite at -250. The current world champion’s closest rival in the betting is his Red Bull teammate, Sergio Perez, who is +450.
And it’s not difficult to see why the two Red Bull drivers are dominating the betting. In the opening race in Bahrain, Verstappen led a Red Bull one-two. The roles were then reversed in the second race of the season, when Perez led his team to a one-two finish in Saudi Arabia.
Red Bull’s domination of the top two steps on the podium did end in Melbourne last weekend. After a controversial race of stoppages and restarts, Perez only managed fifth place. But Max Verstappen did maintain his team’s domination of the top step, with his second win of the season.
Following on from Perez in the betting to win in Baku is Fernando Alonso at +1200, with Lewis Hamilton next at +1600. Then comes the Ferrari duo of Charles Leclerc at +2500 and Carlos Sainz at +2800. So far this season, the Ferraris have been disappointing. A fourth place finish from Carlos Sainz in Bahrain is the team’s only finish in the top five all year.

Max Verstappen is already -800 to win the 2023 Driver’s Championship. This is disappointing to see from a sporting perspective. But such is how dominant the Red Bulls have been, and how bad the two Ferrari drivers have been this year, the best Vegas F1 betting sites already feel it’s inevitable that Max Verstappen will win the championship.
His closest betting rival is again his Red Bull teammate, Sergio Perez, who is +1600. Fernando Alonso is third in this market at +2000, with Lewis Hamiton fourth at +2500.
Check this out. Charles Leclerc, the man who was presumed most likely to give Verstappen some sort of a contest this season is +5000. Just what has happened to Ferrari?
Betting to win the Driver’s Championship without Verstappen
So, after just three races of the season, there is now a market for betting to win the F1 World Championship without Verstappen. And guess what! There is already a Red Bull driver at odds-on to win that!
Yes, Sergio Perez is -250 to win the 2023 F1 Championship without Max Verstappen. The Red Bull driver’s closest rivals are Fernando Alonso at +325, and Lewis Hamilton at +700.
If you’re feeling really optimistic about Ferrari, Charles Leclerc is +3300 to win this market. That puts him on the same odds as George Russell, with Carlos Sainz next at +5000, and then Lance Stroll at +10000.
2023 Constructors Championship Betting Odds
Again, this is dominated by Cristian Horner’s Red Bull team. With three wins from three already this season, Red Bull is already -2500 to win the title for the second year in succession. In last season’s championship, they clinched the title after 19 of the 22 races. They also won the championship by a massive margin of 205 points.
Interestingly, the Las Vegas odds on all three of Mercedes, Aston Martin, and Ferrari is +2500. But in the betting without Red Bull, the top sportsbooks go: Aston Martin +120, Mercedes +135, Ferrari +300.
Our Picks
It’s amazing that with just three races of the season gone, Max Verstappen is already a shoo-in for the world title. It’s also the case that Red Bull are expected to walk away with the constructors championship as well.
At the moment, the sportsbooks seem to be expecting Fernando Alonso and Aston Martin to be the best of the rest. And this opens the door to value bets elsewhere. Can Ferrari bounce back? Well if they can, a bet on Charles Leclerc at +3300 in the betting to win the drivers championship without Verstappen would all of a sudden be of great value. Also representing good value in this market is Lewis Hamilton at +700.
Charles LeclercTo win World Championship w/o Verstappen
Whichever way you go here, be careful. If things don’t change, it will be a Red Bull clean sweep. So wager cautiously, which shouldn’t be difficult at such long odds!
