There are few things better than the NFL Draft and things are expected to be epic from start to finish for the 2022 edition of the NFL Draft. With this, an unreal amount of wagers are being made all over Sin City, as records are expected to be broken this year. That’s right, major NFL Vegas bets being made for the draft should come as no surprise here, as money is being rocked all over the place.
According to a local report, Vegas could set a record for NFL Draft bets this weekend. The best-rated sportsbooks have been updating their odds left and right, which has resulted in plenty of movement for the wagers. It goes without saying, but people are going to be focused on who some of the bigger teams will be taking in the first round.
Obviously, plenty of eyes are going to be on the Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs and others. For the Packers, this team has the tough task of trying to replace Davante Adams at wide receiver. With this, the expectation is that the team will use a first-rounder on a stud wide receiver. Who will they end up going within this case?
Elsewhere, some bets are coming in on who the first quarterback drafted will be. Right now, it’s a battle between Pitt’s Kenny Pickett and Liberty’s Malik Willis. The different NFL odds have both of these guys as top options, but it really depends on which team ends up selecting a quarterback first. For the longest while, it was basically a given that Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson would be the No. 1 overall pick by the Jags. He’s coming off a huge year for the Wolverines.
However, Walker also had a huge year for the Georgia Bulldogs, helping the team win the National Championship. Not only that, Walker has impressed during meetings with teams and at workouts. This has the star pass-rusher with the best odds to be the top selection. Again, this is a bit of a surprise, but that’s what the Vegas oddsmakers have going down. This has led to countless bets for Walker since then.
Only time will tell if this happens, but he’ll have a ton of pressure to try and help the Jaguars down the road. Jacksonville took Trevor Lawrence No. 1 overall last year. Now, Walker, or maybe even Hutchinson, will be on the way later this week.
