The fifth race of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Championship season takes place on Sunday, March 16, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway when the top drivers in the world compete at the 2025 edition of the Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube. Last year, Kyle Larson won the Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube after leading 181 laps. In the past four years, Larson has won this race twice and finished as the runner-up twice. Unsurprisingly, Larson is the betting favorite to win the 2025 Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube.
Below, we look at the betting odds, picks, and predictions for the fifth race of the 2025 NASCAR season.

VegasBetting rolls into the NASCAR online betting odds for the fifth race of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Season. Now is the time to comb through the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race Bets. With Las Vegas being a tri-oval intermediate track on the 2025 NASCAR Cup schedule, it would be wise to look at how the drivers have recently performed on those type of tracks.
Kyle Larson is coming off one of the most dominant performances in the history of the Pennzoil 400, which has been run since 1998. Larson, the driver of the No. 5 Chevy for Hendrick Motorsports, held the lead at last year’s race for 181 laps of the 267-lap competition, winning each stage of the race on his way to capturing the checkered flag. Larson had five other wins in 2025 before finishing the year in sixth place.
Larson has had 17 starts overall at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, winning three times, finishing second on four occasions and placing third once.
Larson, who is one of the betting favorites to win the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Championship, is currently in 11th place in the points race. In four starts this year, Larson has two third-place finishes.
Joey Logano is the last driver to win the Pennzoil 400 in back-to-back years, doing so in 2019 and 2020.
Christopher Bell Looks for Four Wins in a Row in 2025
Christopher Bell is the current betting favorite to win the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Championship. There is a good reason for that, out of the four races held this year, Bell has won three of them. Bell became the first driver since Kevin Harvick in 2018 to win three of the year’s first four races. Overall, three other drivers have managed that feat. The last NASCAR Cup Series driver to win four consecutive races was Jimmie Johnson in 2007. Bell has victories in Atlanta, Austin and Phoenix.
Bell’s best finish at the Pennzoil 400 came in 2023 when he placed fifth. Last year he finished in 33rd in this race. Bell has never won a race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, but he has finished as the runner-up twice (2023 and 2024) in the late-season race on the track.
Bell drives the No. 2 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing. He is second in the points race this year, trailing William Byron by 13 points. Bell did not finish the first race of the season, which hurt him in the standings. He has led 114 laps this year.
Tyler Reddickhas not won a race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, but the driver of the No. 45 Toyota for 23XI Racing did place second at last year’s Pennzoil 400, giving Kyle Larson some pressure in the final laps of the race. In his 10 overall starts on this track, Reddick has placed inside the top 10 five times, but he only has one top-five finish.
Reddick finished the 2024 NASCAR CUP season in fourth place. In 2023, he was sixth and in 2022 he finished as the No. 14 driver. Larson has performed well this year, placing second at the Daytona 500 and third at the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix. He sits in third place in the points race five races into the 2025 season. He has led nine laps on the year, but is yet to win a stage.
No one has dominated on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway over the past few years like Kyle Larson has. There might not be a great deal of betting value on Larson to win again, but Larson is the pick to win the 2025 Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube.
