In 2013, Charlo won his first belt. He won the vacant WBC continental Americas super-welterweight title by defeating Harry Yorgey. He also won the USBA super-welterweight title after that bout. With his super-welterweight world title victories, Charlo rode this wave to the top of the category.
He stands 5′ 11″ tall with a 73″ reach. In all of his fights, the Texas native expertly uses his reach, which is why he easily defeats most of his opponents.
Unlike Castano, Charlo believes he won the fight fair and square the first time the two met and wants to knock him out this time.
