If you’re a Formula 1 racing fan, you’ve got to be fired up for what’s to come on the schedule. Some of the best drivers in the world are ready to compete in the Constructors Championship, Drivers Championship and Bahrain F1 Grand Prix. In this piece, we offer Formula 1 picks for the upcoming races.
Mercedes is the favorite to win the Constructors Championship
The first race we have coming is the Constructors Championship, which is all set to take place on Thursday, March 25. As you might have been able to guess, Mercedes is the favorite to win the Constructors Championship, as they’ve been given the best Formula 1 odds leading up to things.
Per the Las Vegas sportsbooks, Mercedes has the No. 1 odds to win this one at -600. This alone should tell you that it’d be quite the stunner if the team didn’t win. At the same time, we can’t simply rule out the other drivers just because Mercedes has such head-turning numbers.
In addition to those odds, Red Bull has been listed at +333, while Ferrari is at +1200, Aston Martin is at +5000, McLaren is at +6600 and so on. Again, with those odds, the thought of picking Ferrari, Aston Martin or McLaren just isn’t smart, as they’re huge underdogs. Even Red Bull is a tough one.
With all of that being said, there’s no doubt in our minds that Mercedes will go on to win the Constructors Championship. With their -600 odds, it really tells you just how much of a favorite they are, with them fully expected to win the title. We think they’ll get it done.
Who will end up winning the Drivers Championship this season?
One thing racing fans will always have their eyes on and have questioned in the back of their minds is who will end up winning the Drivers Championship this season? As of this writing, the expectation is that this will come down to a battle between Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas.
Hamilton holds the best odds at -300, which of course stands out quite a bit. With that said, Verstappen and Bottas are also in the mix, checking in at +450 and +800, respectively. They clearly have plenty of ground to make up in the eyes of the oddsmakers if they want to take down Hamilton.
Impressively enough, Hamilton has won seven world championships and is hoping to win another title this year. There’s speculation that this could be his last season racing as well, which only adds to the intrigue of him pushing to sit at the top of the standings once the year is over.
Our pick in this case is for Hamilton to go out with a bang and win the Drivers Championship. If this indeed is his last season, he’s going to want to add to his legacy. With him holding -300 odds as well, there’s strong belief he’ll be able to get the job done. We think he’s got what it takes.
Hamilton and Verstappen will be ready to rock at the Bahrain F1 Grand Prix
This weekend, both Hamilton and Verstappen will be ready to rock at the Bahrain F1 Grand Prix. The race arrives on Sunday and the two are easily the top two contenders to potentially come away with a victory. It goes without saying, but this race will also have big implications on the Drivers Championship.
Ahead of Sunday’s anticipated race, Hamilton has +160 odds, while Verstappen has been listed at +162. As you can see here, the two are basically neck-and-neck before the race arrives. This adds even more drama with Sunday right around the corner.
Don’t forget about Bottas, who has +450 odds. He very well could end up making a push to come out with a huge win. However, we do believe that this will come down to Hamilton and Verstappen as many out there believe. Who will win the Bahrain F1 Grand Prix?
We’re going to mix things up here actually and pick Verstappen to win. Verstappen is our pick for his specific race, as he’s entering Sunday with plenty of confidence and will be hungry to take down Hamilton. Soon enough, we’ll find out how things play out here.
