The 2020 UEFA European Championship is in full swing and we’ve enjoyed some truly spectacular showdowns already. The list of course includes the big-time meeting between France and Germany. Things got off to a bang for the Three Lions with a win over Croatia. Now, England should cruise to a big win against Scotland on June 18, as the team is riding high right now. In that opening win against Croatia, Manchester City superstar Raheem Sterling scored the lone goal for his home country. That was Sterling’s first goal for England in a major tournament.
That of course was amazing to see. This England squad is stacked, as the group also features Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Luke Shaw, Declan Rice, Phil Foden and so many others. The offensive attack of this team truly is out of this world, which is always going to make life difficult for opposing defenses. For Scotland, they know this will be the case on Friday.

Per the Las Vegas sportsbooks, England is the monster favorite, as they’ve been given -350 odds that best soccer betting sites. Meanwhile, for Scotland, Vegas doesn’t seem to think they have a great chance of winning, with their odds placed at +800. The odds of Scotland somehow salvaging things with a draw are set at +420 at Bovada, but we don’t think that’s going to happen here either.
We’re expecting Sterling, Kane and Rashford to post Scotland’s D with plenty of headaches early and often. England is simply too good to not blow their opposition out of the water come Friday. With that said, England is no doubt our pick to come out victorious. We also wouldn’t be stunned if the Three Lions went on to close the scoring somewhere in the 3-0 range.
On Saturday, there’s no doubt whatsoever that Portugal vs. Germany will be an incredible showdown, as the two teams feature some of the best players in the tournament. The Germans of course have guys like Ilkay Gundogan, Kai Havertz, Thomas Mueller, Serge Gnabry, Antonio Rudiger and others, while Portugal has arguably the best player to ever hit the pitch.
We’re of course talking about the one and only Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored twice in Portugal’s opening EURO 2021 victory over Hungary. Ronaldo isn’t alone on that side, as Portugal also has Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Jota, Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias and other brilliant players who will be ready to give it everything they’ve got to try and beat Germany.
As good as Germany is, they really didn’t look too strong in their 1-0 loss to France on Tuesday. In that defeat, Paul Pogba delivered an incredible ball into the box and moments later, Germany’s Mats Hummels accidentally sent the ball into the back of his own net for an own goal. With that own goal, Germany suffered its 1-0 loss, as the offense really couldn’t get anything going.
Going up against Portugal, Germany holds +130 odds, while Ronaldo and Co. are slight underdogs at +200. Regardless of those odds, we think this has what it takes to be a sensational contest from the opening minutes. Both sides have so much talent it’s almost unfair.
