Later this week, some of the top stars on the planet will be heading to California to try and record an epic win at Indians Wells. It goes without saying, but Medvedev is motivated to win it all at Indian Wells, as he currently holds the top odds for the tournament. Previously, Novak Djokovic was the No. 1 seed here, and many bettors had him in mind for their future pick. However, it was recently announced that Djokovic has officially withdrawn from the tournament due to his vaccination status.
There was some doubt leading up to the event that Djokovic could participate. With the main draw for the men starting on Wednesday, many fans were hoping he could figure everything out in time to participate. Instead, it has been confirmed that he won’t be able to attend. Not only that, but he also won’t be at the Miami Open later this month too.

On top of that, it has also been confirmed that Rafael Nadal, who made it to the Indian Wells Final last year, will not be able to participate due to injury. With this, it has opened the door for Medvedev to take the lead not only as the top dog but as the favorite to take home the trophy and top prize money.
