“It’s difficult with words to describe my feelings and my emotions, I think everything was amazing,” the team’s manager said.
Tottenham also upset the odds when knocking out Manchester City at the last-eight stage, so they can’t be taken lightly even though the team has never reached a Champions League final.
Both teams have players capable of punishing defenses, but the Reds have the edge after they beat the Spurs twice in the Premier League. Both games ended 2-1 — at Wembley Stadium back in September and at Anfield in March.
Liverpool have won four, drawn two, and lost one of their last seven meetings with Tottenham. Both teams have scored in seven of the last eight encounters as well.
Liverpool has won 13 of its last 14 competitive matches, while Tottenham has lost five of its last eight games in all competitions and won just twice. They also lost a remarkable 13 times in the Premier League this season.
Liverpool’s Salah missed the second leg against Barcelona with a concussion, while fellow striker Firmino sat out with a groin issue. The club expects to have a fully fit lineup for the final which should prove too much for Tottenham to handle.
