VGK owner Bill Foley emphasizes that community integration has been a fundamental aspect of their vision since the team’s inception.

“Our goal is to ensure that the current rink remains accessible and operational, with some necessary upgrades, until the exciting new facilities are completed,” Eliot shared.
Youth Programs and Upgraded Facilities
The Knights are set to launch their comprehensive program in November, catering to a wide range of skill levels, from basic skating lessons to the advanced Junior Golden Knights program.
During a news conference on Wednesday, North Las Vegas Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown revealed an exciting milestone for the city as it announced its inaugural collaboration with a prominent professional sports team.
The partnership involves the Vegas Golden Knights taking over the management of the ice rink at the former Fiesta Rancho site, a move aimed at sustaining youth hockey activities within the locale.
The city officials confirmed that the Golden Knights’ management of the facility is scheduled to commence in November.
The Golden Knights operate City National Arena in Summerlin, providing comprehensive youth hockey programs.
Following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, both Texas Station and Fiesta Rancho had been temporarily shuttered.
Station Casinos declared in July 2022 its plans to demolish the properties alongside the Fiesta in Henderson and sell the land.

On Thursday night, fans have the opportunity to meet Zach Whitecloud, the defenseman for the Vegas Golden Knights, at the 47th annual Indian National Finals Rodeo, hosted at the Arena & Equestrian Center in the South Point Casino.
Hailing from the Sioux Valley Dakota Nation in Manitoba, Canada, Whitecloud and his family maintain a strong connection to their heritage.
Whitecloud expressed that the Sioux Valley Dakota Nation would forever hold a special place in his heart.
“That location is just 20 minutes to the west of my hometown,” Whitecloud noted. “It’s the place where my dad and his family grew up, so I have numerous relatives and extended family residing in Sioux Valley.”

Weekend Watch Party
Henderson is set to host a watch party for the upcoming Golden Knights game against the Los Angeles Kings this Saturday.
The event will take place at Water Street Plaza, featuring a screening of the game on a 42-foot-wide jumbotron.
