Now that the 2022 NFL Draft is in the rearview mirror, everyone is already counting down the days for the regular season to get here. Plenty of teams got even stronger following the draft and they’re dreaming of taking home the Lombardi Trophy. In this piece, we have our updated Super Bowl picks after the NFL Draft. As you might have been able to guess, the oddsmakers still have high belief in Buffalo.
The Bills still have the No. 1 Super Bowl odds
To no surprise, the Bills still have the No. 1 Super Bowl odds entering the season. Matter of fact, people think they should have no issues winning it all. Per the best-rated sportsbooks, the Bills are at the top of the list with their +650 odds. However, they’re not the only team that is going to be in the mix once next winter rolls around. That’s because several other teams are fired up to make a splash too.
As you might have been able to guess, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers and others have strong odds. It’s not going to be easy for the Bills to come away with the Super Bowl, as so many other teams will be hungry to try and prevent that from happening. Buffalo knows the challenges they have ahead of them.
With that, though, the Bills are always going to be quitea threat thanks to all of the talent they have on the team. Things begin with quarterback Josh Allen. The former first-round pick has gotten better with each game that he’s played and fans have a strong belief that this will be the year he gets the team over the top. Buffalo has come close to a Super Bowl trip in back-to-back years.
However, they lost to the Chiefs in the AFC title game two years ago, then lost in the Divisional Round last season. Both losses were heartbreaking for the team, but things could change this year. It will come down to Allen, Von Miller, Stefon Diggs and others. So, will the Bills end up winning it all? Unfortunately for their supporters, we’re going elsewhere with our Super Bowl pick.
Look for the Green Bay Packers to win the Super Bowl
If you ask us, look for the Green Bay Packers to win the Super Bowl this year. While Green Bay may not hold the top odds in this case, you can never rule this team out thanks to the one and only Aaron Rodgers. The future Hall of Famer inked a multi-year extension with the team and he’s going to be fired up to try and win it all this year after last season’s choke job.
Plenty of fans are worried because Davante Adams is now with the Las Vegas Raiders, but the team made some smart picks in the draft to help out at wide receiver. This includes the second-round selection of Christian Watson. The team also brought in Romeo Doubs from Nevada. Watson is a player that fans are high on, and so are the Packers.
He was taken early on in the second round and has some head-turning speed. Watson has the chance to make some serious noise for this team from Day 1. On top of the WRs taken, the defense also improved in a big way, highlighted by the selection of linebacker Quay Walker in the first round. Also, the Packers also selected DT Devonte Wyatt on the first night of the draft.
Both those players were key playmakers for the Georgia Bulldogs last year, helping the SEC powerhouse win the National Championship. They’ll be needed to record some key snaps in 2022 for the Packers. Green Bay has a long road ahead of itself this upcoming campaign, but they have the tools to go on a deep run. We think they’ll win the title. Agree? Check out our NFL betting sites and place a wager.
The Bills and Packers should meet in the Super Bowl
When it’s all said and done, we think the Bills and Packers should meet in the Super Bowl next February. The Bills hold the top odds to win the AFC, while the Packers hold the No. 2 NFC odds behind the Bucs. Tampa Bay of course will be in it now that Tom Brady is back in the fold. He retired after last season, but those plans lasted less than two months.
TB12 is all set to get back on the field this fall, which has Bucs fans thinking this squad can get back to the big game. However, we think that the Packers will win the NFC over them and meet Buffalo in the Super Bowl. This would set up a huge showdown between Allen and Rodgers with the title on the line. What else could fans ask for here?
We think the Packers will end up winning that matchup, as mentioned above. However, no one should take down the Bills in the AFC this year. This is their season to finally get to the Super Bowl. They are simply too good on offense and their defense is also second to none. Buffalo is a team to watch out for, there’s simply no doubt about that for football fans.
