The Philadelphia Eagles continue to silence their haters, as the No. 1 seed in the NFC has punched its ticket to the Super Bowl. Behind the strong arm of Jalen Hurts, this team is one win away from bringing home their second Super Bowl title. Now, this team is ready to take on the Chiefs. We look at the NFL Super Bowl prop bets for Eagles anytime touchdown scorers ahead of the action. Who will score for the Birds?
Miles Sanders has a great chance of scoring in the Super Bowl
• Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl • Sunday, February 12th at 6:30 p.m. ET • State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona
Once kickoff arrives, Eagles running back Miles Sanders has a great chance of scoring in the Super Bowl, as he’s coming off a strong showing in the NFC title game. In that matchup with the 49ers, who entered the game with the No. 1 ranked defense in the NFL, Sanders posted two rushing touchdowns for the Eagles. It was great to see him, as his end to the regular season didn’t go as planned.
Fans were a bit concerned that Sanders only rushed for 42 yards on 11 carries, but there’s no denying that he’s the No. 1 rushing option for the Eagles whenever they’re close to the goal line. Sanders is a strong, powerful runner, and the Philly offensive line does a great job opening up holes for him. Star lineman Jason Kelce is a force, as is right tackle Lane Johnson. Sanders always takes advantage of the holes they provide him.
“I can’t even put it into words, honestly,” Sanders said on helping the Eagles get to the Super Bowl. “It’s a dream come true for many people on this team, especially myself. The job is not done. We didn’t get this far to get there. We are trying to win it all. We got one more game for the rest of our lives. Play our best ball, man. The whole fourth quarter, I couldn’t control myself.”
According to the best-rated sportsbooks, including the reliable Bovada review, Sanders holds +115 NFL betting odds to score a touchdown against the Chiefs. While Kansas City has an impressive defensive front, led by Chris Jones and Frank Clark, we like Sanders’ odds of celebrating a TD once the big game rolls around. We’re going with a Sanders score as our pick.
A.J. Brown will look to make a statement in the Super Bowl
Elsewhere on offense, A.J. Brown will look to make a statement in the Super Bowl against the Chiefs. Throughout the year, it feels like sometimes people have forgotten that Brown is still one of the best wideouts in the game. People will always focus on Davante Adams, Stefon Diggs, Cooper Kupp, Ja’Marr Chase, and others, yet Brown somehow gets overlooked.
Don’t forget that the Eagles sent multiple draft picks, including a first-rounder, to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for Brown. He felt like the missing piece for this offense, and he has been a fantastic combination with DeVonta Smith. Both those wide receivers have developed strong chemistry, which has a lot of Eagles fans excited about what can happen in the Super Bowl.
In the NFC Championship Game, the aerial attack for the Eagles was halted a little bit, and Brown didn’t have his best game. He finished the win over the 49ers with only four receptions for 28 yards, a lowly seven yards per catch. However, the Eagles know they will have to get the passing game going in the Super Bowl to hang tight with the Chiefs.
With Brown’s size, he will have a strong advantage going up against the Kansas City defensive backs. This will only have Hurts excited to take some deep shots down the field to him and Smith. Per the oddsmakers, Brown holds +150 Super Bowl betting odds to score a touchdown against the Chiefs come Feb. 12. This feels like a bit of a coin toss, but we’re going with Brown to score a TD.
The Kansas City defense will look to keep Dallas Goedert quiet
While the Chiefs will be busy focusing on Hurts, Brown, Smith, and Sanders, the Kansas City defense will also look to keep Dallas Goedert quiet. Goedert may not be at the level of Travis Kelce, but he’s still a fantastic tight end and a reliable option in the passing game for Hurts. With Kansas City’s DBs hoping to silence Brown and Smith, this could open the door for Goedert to get more looks.
In the win over the 49ers, Goedert posted five receptions, but only for 23 yards. There could be some more options for him to get open against the Chiefs, but their linebackers might try to zone in on him while the corners and safeties worry about Brown and Smith. While it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Goedert score, we’re picking against him, finding the end zone.
