After some amazing games were showcased for Week 5, Sunday’s calendar will be filled with even more great contests for football fans to enjoy. This includes the great battle between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. In this article, we have NFL picks for Week 6 of the season. Which squads will end up recording some big-time victories?
Aaron Rodgers will be ready to put on a show against the Bears
Leave no doubt about it folks: Aaron Rodgers will be ready to put on a show against the Bears and their sensational defense. While guys like Khalil Mack will be ready to try and silence Rodgers, we think that’s going to be too difficult of a task to get done. With that said, both teams are entering this game with a ton of confidence, as they were victorious in Week 5.
For the Packers, the team traveled to Cincinnati and was able to record a heart-stopping 25-22 overtime win over the Bengals. While Mason Crosby had a day to forget, missing three field goals, he was able to get things done in OT to help the Packers improve to 4-1. Green Bay has now won four straight games after opening the year with an embarrassing loss to the New Orleans Saints.
For Rodgers, he was throwing the ball all over the field, finishing with two touchdowns. One of those scores went to Davante Adams, who continues to show us he’s arguably the best wideout in the game. On the day, Adams caught 11 balls for a stunning 206 yards and his TD. Seriously, those are insane numbers from Adams. He and Rodgers are quite simply an incredible duo.
The Bears beat Las Vegas, but Green Bay is a totally different animal. According to the Las Vegas sportsbooks, the Packers hold -215 NFL odds, while Chicago, despite being the home team, has been set at +180. Going into Soldier Field and leaving with a win is never easy, but we’re quite confident Rodgers and Co. will be able to get the job done. They’re our pick to win. Kansas City is in must-win mode going up against Washington
For the reigning AFC champs, Kansas City is in must-win mode going up against Washington on Sunday. Just what in the heck has been going on with the Chiefs? KC has looked nothing like its old self this season, as the team currently holds a 2-3 record. Seriously? The defense has been nothing short of abysmal, while the offense has also struggled throughout the year.
In the Sunday Night Football loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 5, the Bills dominated this one from start to finish and Josh Allen put on a show. Buffalo took down Kansas City 38-20 at Arrowhead. When was the last time we saw the Chiefs get embarrassed on their home field like this? It’s felt like years. This has to be a major concern for head coach Andy Reid and his staff.
Not only that, but Mahomes really had a night to forget in Week 5’s game against Buffalo. Not only was Mahomes missing his targets, but he also tossed two interceptions on the night. He’s now up to six interceptions in five games this season. Last campaign, Mahomes finished the year with six INTs and now he has the same amount in 11 less games. That’s crazy to even think about.
Again, Kansas City has to win this weekend. A loss to the Washington Football Team would send the team’s supporters into panic mode. Per the oddsmakers, Kansas City has been set at -275, while the Washington Football Team is a massive underdog at +225. While Washington will hope to pull off a major upset, we firmly believe Mahomes and Co. will get back on track. We’re going with the Chiefs as our pick.
There’s no excuses for the Steelers going up against the Seahawks
In another intriguing matchup, there’s no excuses for the Steelers going up against the Seahawks in Pittsburgh at Heinz Field. The Seahawks were delivered a massive blow on the injury front, as Russell Wilson suffered a finger injury in the Thursday Night Football loss against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5. It has since been revealed that Wilson will miss at least a month after undergoing surgery.
With Wilson out of action, backup quarterback Geno Smith is getting the start in Week 6 for the Seahawks and Pete Carroll. While Smith looked strong at times against the Rams, he just isn’t the answer offensively for this team. With Pittsburgh’s defense being so strong too, they’ll look to apply heavy pressure on Smith from start to finish in this one. Pittsburgh did just that against Denver in Week 5, a game they were able to win.
Going up against the Seahawks, Pittsburgh is a -220 favorite. For the Seahawks, they’ll head into this one as +184 underdogs. Ben Roethlisberger silenced his haters on Sunday with a 60-yard touchdown pass to Diontae Johnson and by helping his team to record a victory. Big Ben will look to keep things going against the Seahawks, which he should get done. It could be a long night for the Hawks. Go with Pittsburgh for this one.
