Believe it or not, we’re already done with three weeks of the National Football League campaign. Time is flying and some brilliant plays are being made. Now, we’re ready for more of the same later this week, with some exciting battles on the way. In this piece, we have NFL picks for Week 4 of the 2022 season, which includes a huge showdown between Kansas City and Tampa Bay. Which team will come out on top?
The Chiefs are small road favorites vs. the Buccaneers
Leading up to this one, the Chiefs are small road favorites vs. the Buccaneers for their Sunday Night Football matchup. Obviously, the main headlines written for this one will be surrounded on Patrick Mahomes going up against Tom Brady. These are two of the best quarterbacks in the game, and both players are coming off rough losses in Week 3.
With the Chiefs, they suffered a brutal loss to the Colts last Sunday. KC entered that one as favorites too, but the offense had a game to forget. This was unusual to see, as Mahomes is usually on the money and his receivers always make big-time plays for him. This wasn’t the case against Indianapolis, as the Colts defense was able to fluster them.
As for the Bucs, they hosted Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in Week 3. Rodgers had himself a strong showing, throwing for two touchdown passes. Brady had a chance to tie things late, but a two-point try went incomplete, and the Packers were able to escape with a 14-12 victory. Now, Brady is hoping to get back on track this weekend vs. the Chiefs.
According to the best-rated sportsbooks, which includes the reliable Bovada review, the Chiefs hold -124 NFL betting odds, while the Bucs have been set at +106. This should be a back-and-forth contest, and it really could go either way. At the end of the day, we think the Chiefs will be able to hand the Bucs their second consecutive loss. We’re going with the Chiefs as our pick.
NY Giants will hope to bounce back vs. the Chicago Bears
Elsewhere, the NY Giants will hope to bounce back vs. the Chicago Bears when they go to battle at MetLife Stadium on Sunday. The G-Men took on the Dallas Cowboys during Monday Night Football and the hope was that they’d be able to improve to 3-0. That didn’t go down, as Dallas was able to leave East Rutherford with a close 23-16 win, breaking NY hearts.
The story of the game in this one was the NY offensive line having a game to forget. Rookie first-round pick Evan Neal struggled massively in this one, as Daniel Jones was sacked five times and he was pressured 24 times. Those 24 pressures were the most a QB has had to face this season, which highlights just how bad the NY offensive line played.
They’ve got to clean things up. Meanwhile for the Bears, they’ve had a year to forget too, as their offense hasn’t been good. Justin Fields, a former first-round pick himself, needs some help from his receivers, but the WR room for Chicago is without question the worst in the league. Fans are calling for the team to try and trade for some WR help, but no one knows if that will come.
Both teams are desperate for a win this Sunday. The oddsmakers have given the Giants -174 odds for this matchup, with the Bears at +150. The Giants will have the home-field advantage and they must produce for their fans. We think that they will – we’re going with New York as our pick to win. Agree? In our upset pick of the week, the Ravens will stun the Bills on Sunday in a massive AFC showdown. The Bills were brought down to earth in a big way in Week 3, as they traveled to Miami and were taken down by the Dolphins. Buffalo holds the top Super Bowl odds, but it has been proven that they’re not invincible and do have some flaws on both sides of the ball.
With Baltimore, the story for this team has been the sensational play of Lamar Jackson. Jackson is looking like an MVP candidate, as he leads the NFL with his 12 touchdowns. The matchup between Jackson and Allen is going to be fun to watch, as they’re two superstar players, no question about that. Jackson will hope to make a statement with a strong win.
The Bills hold -180 odds to win this one, with the Ravens at +152. This will be an electric game throughout all four quarters of action. At the end of the showdown, though, we think the Ravens players will be the ones celebrating. We’re going with Baltimore as our pick to win.
