With three weeks officially in the books for the National Football League’s new campaign, we’ve seen several teams emerge as serious contenders in both conferences. While the AFC has seen spectacular play, things are the same on the other side. This piece has NFL NFC future picks for the 2022 season. Which team will win their divisions this winter?
Packers are still the favorites to win the NFC North
Despite some up-and-down play to start the year, the Packers are still the favorites to win the NFC North. That’s always going to be the case for them in the division when they have Aaron Rodgers under center. Things are a bit different offensively for this team, which has been made clear through the first three games of the year, but this team is finding ways to get the job done.
The biggest missing piece here no question is Davante Adams. Everyone knew this offense would be different without the star wide receiver out on the field, but the lack of chemistry between Rodgers and his other wideouts has been quite alarming. Despite that, the Packers have won back-to-back games, taking down the Chicago Bears and Tampa bay Buccaneers, respectively.
While the Minnesota Vikings, Bears, and Detroit Lions all have talented teams – and Minnesota beat Green Bay in Week 1 – we still strongly believe that the Packers are the best team in the position. Rodgers is clear and wide the best quarterback, and running back Aaron Jones is still a fantastic playmaker. Those two have what it takes to power the Packers.
Per the best-rated sportsbooks, which includes the reliable Bovada review, the Packers hold the top NFL odds to win the NFC North at -115. Yes, the Vikings, Lions, and Bears will look to make this one interesting, but we just don’t see it happening. We’re going with the Packers as our pick to win the NFC North. Agree? Eagles should run away with the NFC East
Elsewhere, the Eagles should run away with the NFC East this season. Philadelphia has looked sensational on both sides of the ball through the first three games, and they’re 3-0. We’ve, of course, got to bring up the strong play of Jalen Hurts. The young QB is getting better and better, and he has the offense rocking for the Eagles thus far this season.
It has been great to see; his play has Eagles fans excited about this team’s chances of winning the division. For the Eagles, their main competition looks to be the Dallas Cowboys, but you’ve got to remember that Dak Prescott currently is not playing due to his hand injury. Prescott is expected to miss about one more month of playing time, meaning it will be on Cooper Rush to lead the way for a little while.
With the New York Giants, this team has surprised plenty of people, but there’s no denying that quarterback Daniel Jones is holding them back. The G-Men have been a great story, but it’d be one of the year’s biggest surprises if they somehow managed to win the NFC East. We don’t see it happening and most certainly have no faith in the Washington Commanders to do the job.
Per the oddsmakers, the Eagles hold -350 odds to win the NFC East. That tells you how big of favorites they are. Dallas could somehow pull something off, but the longer Prescott is away from the field, the more difficult it will be for them to win the division. Regardless of that, we’re fully confident in Philly to win the NFC East this time around. They’re our pick.
Another team that should make plenty of noise is the Bucs, as Tampa Bay is a lock to win the NFC South this season. No disrespect to the other teams in the division, but they don’t hold a candle to Tampa Bay. In what’s expected to be the final season of Tom Brady’s amazing career, the future Hall of Famer is surely going to want to end things with a bang.
An NFC South title for the Bucs would be nice, but Brady has higher goals than that. He wants to make sure he gets to the postseason and then put his team in a position to win it all. Brady already has seven Super Bowl rings to his name, and now he’s hoping to come away with No. 8 before he finally decides to hang up his cleats. Will that be the way his story is written?
The Bucs hold -340 odds to win the NFC South. Behind them, the New Orleans Saints are at +550. Yup, things aren’t close here regarding the betting odds, and it’s easy to see why. Tampa Bay is superior in every facet of the game compared to the other teams in the division. We’re undoubtedly going with the Bucs as our pick to win the NFC South.
