The second to last week of the regular season is here for football fans and people can’t wait to see how things shape out. There are some huge matchups that people can’t wait for, including Chicago going up against New York. In this article, we have NFL Week 17 picks with Bears favored over the Giants. Which team will come away with the win here?
With New York’s offense really struggling, the Bears defense will give the Giants all kinds of problems when they face off on Sunday at Soldier Field. With Daniel Jones out for the season due to his neck injury, New York has had to go with either Jake Fromm or Mike Glennon as the team’s starter. Both guys have looked terrible in taking snaps out on the gridiron.
For Chicago, they’re going to look to try and put some serious pressure on either Glennon or Fromm in this one. It will be on the front-seven to make that happen, but things shouldn’t be too difficult, as New York’s offensive line is a complete and total mess. For the Bears, they’ll also enter this game with plenty of confidence after beating the Seattle Seahawks last weekend.

Meanwhile, for the Giants, they looked horrendous facing the Philadelphia Eagles last week. Fromm for the start, but he played so badly that head coach Joe Judge ended up benching him in the second half for Glennon to come in. Saquon Barkley also struggled to get the ground game going for the Giants. It figures to be another long day for New York come Sunday.
According to the best-rated online sportsbooks, the Bears hold -275 Vegas NFL odds for this meeting, while the Giants have been set at +225. Meanwhile, in the AFC, the Chiefs are favored over the Bengals for Sunday’s game and that’s not much of a surprise. Kansas City has been outstanding this year and they currently hold the No. 1 seed in the AFC with their 11-4 record. In Week 16, the Chiefs dominate the Pittsburgh Steelers, but things are going to be made much more difficult for them against Cincinnati.
Luckily for the Chiefs, they’ll have a full team for this one, as Andy Reid announced that all the players who were previously placed on the COVID list have been activated. This means that Travis Kelce, Harrison Butker and others will be able to suit up to take on the Bengals. Obviously, this is huge news for Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City as a whole.
On the other side of the field, Joe Burrow will be ready to lead the Bengals offense. Fortunately for Burrow, stud running back Joe Mixon is playing incredibly well right now and rookie wideout Ja’Marr Chase is having a year to remember. Cincinnati will need to play near-perfect football if they want a chance to try and pull off an upset in this matchup.
Per the oddsmakers, the Chiefs indeed are the favorites in this one, as they hold -240 odds. Meanwhile for Cincinnati, they’re the underdogs as the home team with +194 odds. It’s going to be an incredibly difficult task for Cincinnati to come away with a win. While this game might be close, we think the Chiefs will record the victory. KC is our pick.
Lastly, Green Bay and the Vikings will face off in primetime and the Packers should take down Minnesota in Sunday Night Football. It goes without saying, but Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are playing out of this world right now. Currently, the Packers are 12-3 on the year and they hold the No. 1 seed in the NFC. It’s looking like they’ll get the coveted first-round bye.
Last week going up against the Cleveland Browns on Christmas Day, Rodgers put on a show, throwing for three touchdowns. Of those three, two went to superstar wide receiver Davante Adams. Now, those two will look to keep things rocking against the Vikings. Earlier in the year, Minnesota did stun the Packers, but Adams caught two TDs from Rodgers in that one.
Minnesota knows what it takes to upset Green Bay, but they’ll be without Adam Thielen due to his ankle surgery. That’s going to complicate things at Lambeau Field for this team. Rodgers and Co. will be ready to dazzle once again. It’s be a shocker if the Vikings. We just don’t see it happening, which is why we’re going with the Packers as our pick.
