When it comes to AFC matchups, few will match the kind of intensity that Buffalo and Tennessee will provide. Luckily for football fans out there, the two powerhouses are all set to face off for a Week 6 Monday Night Football battle. Who will end up being victorious? In this piece, we have MNF picks for the Bills vs. Titans showdown that will be watched by millions, no doubt about that.
The Bills are favored to record a road win in this one
As you might have been able to guess, the Bills are favored to record a road win in this one when the two teams meet on the gridiron. Both Tennessee and Buffalo were able to record victories in Week 5, but there’s no question that Buffalo’s W stood out quite a bit more. Why you ask? Well, that’s because they went to Arrowhead Stadium and dominated the reigning AFC champions.
In Week 5, Buffalo indeed went to Kansas City and embarrassed the Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes. On both sides of the field, the Bills were no question the superior team. That was made clear from start to finish. For Josh Allen, he was simply sensational in the victory. On the night, the fourth-year quarterback tossed for 315 yards and three touchdowns. On the ground, he added 59 yards and an additional score.
As for the Titans, Tennessee took on the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars and also recorded quite the victory. While Ryan Tannehill was strong and tossed for 197 yards and a score, Derrick Henry really stole the show with his effort in the ground game. The superstar running back finished the day against the Jags rushing for 130 yards and three touchdowns. Talk about a stellar showing.
Buffalo’s front-seven will have its hands full trying to contain Henry, but they’ll certainly be up to the task. As for the Titans’ defense, the thought of them trying to contain Allen and his playmakers seems like too tall of a job for them to get done. Per the Las Vegas sportsbooks, Buffalo holds -235 NFL odds and Tennessee has been set at +194. We’re going with the Bills to come out on top. Do you agree? Buffalo vs. Tennessee should be an offensive battle
As we get ready for this contest, keep in mind that Buffalo vs. Tennessee should be an offensive battle. These two teams are known for lighting up the scoreboard and that’s exactly what we saw in Week 5. The Bills put up 38 points going up against the Chiefs and the Titans were equally as impressive, scoring 37 points. What can we expect when the two face off?
More of the same, folks. For the Bills, Allen is looking like a serious MVP candidate. Thus far this season, he has thrown for an incredible 1,370 yards and 12 touchdowns. What makes him so special is that he can also get things done with his legs as well. On the ground, Allen has rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Against the Chiefs alone, he rushed for 59 yards and a score. After the Chiefs win, Allen made it clear he’s focused on still improving.
“It’s one game, and we’re not going to try to make this a bigger deal than what it needs to be,” Allen said shortly after powering Buffalo to its big-time win over the Chiefs on the road. “If we lost this game, we wouldn’t have made it a bigger deal than it needed to be. Again, there’s a whole lot of football left in this season, and we’ve got to continue to stack wins.”
While Allen is staying humble, there’s no doubt that Bills fans are fired up. He’ll be ready to put on a show against the Titans and score plenty of points. Per the oddsmakers, the over/under has been set at 53.5 points, with -105 odds for the under and -115 odds for the over. From our chair, there’s just no way that the over doesn’t hit, especially with Allen and Tannehill running things. Take the over, folks.
A win over Tennessee could improve Buffalo’s Super Bowl odds
After five weeks of the NFL season, would you believe it if we told you that the Bills are now the top dogs to potentially bring home the Lombardi Trophy. Well, a win over Tennessee could improve Buffalo’s Super Bowl odds, as they’re now No. 1 on the list at +550. Behind them are the Bucs at +600, the Chiefs at +750, the Rams at +1000, the Ravens at +1200, and the Green Bay Packers at +1200.
While plenty of teams are in the hunt to win it all, Buffalo made a serious statement with their win over the Chiefs at Arrowhead. It’s not every day that a team is able to make Kansas City as a whole look like a bunch of rookies, while also rattling Patrick Mahomes. Buffalo’s defense picked him twice, including one INT that was taken back to the house for a touchdown. No one expected that.
For Buffalo, they can keep things rocking with a win over the Titans in Monday Night Football. It’s time for people to stop doubting them as a whole and show them some respect. Sean McDermott has done incredible things as head coach of this team. After losing in the AFC Championship Game last year, Buffalo looks primed to win the game and potentially win the Super Bowl. A victory over the Titans will only add to the noise surrounding them.
