What: Cleveland Browns vs Baltimore Ravens – NFL Week 10
Where: M&T Bank Stadium
When: Sunday, November 12th, 1 PM EST
Week 10 of the NFL season brings a classic AFC North matchup between the 5-3 Cleveland Browns and the first-place Baltimore Ravens (7-2), who are absolutely rolling. The kick-off is scheduled for 1 PM EST at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland. Cleveland is coming off a big victory over the Arizona Cardinals by a score of 27-0. The Ravens also collected their fourth win in a row, annihilating the Seattle Seahawks 37-3. Both teams have some great momentum heading into this rivalry game. Below, find the Browns vs Ravens picks.
The Ravens are a clear favorite here, sitting at -260 on the moneyline for an implied win probability of 72.22%. The Browns return at +220 and have a 31.25% chance of coming out victorious. Baltimore is also laying six points on the spread. The total is set at 37.5. The Ravens are 3-2 in the last five against Cleveland, grabbing a 28-3 win in Week 4.
Browns Have a Tall Task
Cleveland is undoubtedly trending in the right direction, winning three of the last four. That includes a surprising win over the San Francisco 49ers, Indianapolis Colts, and Cardinals. To boot, they’ve done most of this damage without Deshaun Watson, who has been dealing with an injury and to be frank, isn’t even playing that well when healthy.
Watson did suit up on Sunday and had a respectable outing though, completing 19 of 30 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns. The passing game is what shined, with Amari Cooper and Jerome Ford both reeling in five catches apiece. Cleveland’s defense also held Arizona to a mere 58 total yards, too. Yes, you read that right. An absolutely abysmal performance from the Cards. When it comes to Watson, this was his first full game since suffering a rotator cuff injury in late September. Hopefully, it’s a sign of better days to come.
Defense is truly keeping Kevin Stefanski’s squad afloat, ranking first in fewest total yards allowed, fewest passing yards, and 3rd down percentage rate. They’re allowing a mere 17.4 points per contest. Offensively, it’s a much different story, ranking around the middle of the pack in most categories. But, if Watson can start to figure it out, perhaps the Browns could make the playoffs this season. Winning games like Sunday are key, but it’s going to be very difficult beating the surging Ravens.
Ravens Are Rolling
Are the Ravens for real? They could be. Baltimore is now five games above .500 and hasn’t lost since Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers in early October. Since then, they’ve notched wins over the Titans, Lions, Cardinals, and Seahawks. Lamar Jackson is absolutely balling out, completing 71.5% of his passes for 1,954 yards and nine touchdowns against three interceptions. As per usual, most of his damage is coming on the ground, rushing for 440 yards (5.2 yards per carry) and five scores. He’s the Ravens’ best runner.
Baltimore truly dominated the Seahawks in Week 9. They had 29 first downs to just six for Seattle and put up 515 yards. The Hawks had only 151. By no surprise, a lot of the production came on the ground again. Jackson ran for 60 yards on 10 carries while completing 21 of 26 throws for 187 yards. Odell Beckham Jr, who has been struggling, reeled in his first touchdown of the campaign from Tyler Huntley, who entered late for Lamar. This was definitely considered a statement win because Seattle is absolutely no pushover.
In all facets, Baltimore is for real. They rank towards the top of the NFL in nearly every notable category on both sides of the ball. This is a team that cannot be ignored as a legitimate Super Bowl contender, as long as Jackson stays healthy. That’s always the question mark surrounding the Ravens. He stays on the field, we should see them make a deep run in the playoffs.
Browns vs Ravens Picks
The Ravens did clobber the Browns earlier in the season and given how well they’re playing, I do expect another victory on Sunday. Take the Baltimore moneyline.
