After taking a 2-0 series lead in the NBA Finals, the Phoenix Suns are now on the brink of seeing their title dreams come to a close. That’s because Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks are on the verge of winning it all after capturing three straight games. In this piece, we have our NBA Finals picks for Suns-Bucks Game 6, with Milwaukee having the chance to wrap things up. Will they get things done?
With things heading back East, Milwaukee is favored to win Game 6 and close the series out in front of their hometown fans. This really is a stunning turn of events. Again, the Suns opened the series by winning the first two games. Going up 2-0 in the NBA Finals, just about everyone assumed that this one was over, especially with Devin Booker and Chris Paul playing so well.
Now, though, the Bucks have won three consecutive games. The Game 5 victory really was a stunner. In that game, Phoenix went up 37-21 after the first quarter. So, they were up 16 points early on? With such a big lead, folks were ready to call Game 5. Instead, though, Antetokounmpo and Co. roared all the way back and were able to win the contest. Unreal.
Game 6 odds | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Bucks to win | -205 | -205 | -205 | -205 |
Suns to win | +172 | +172 | +172 | +172 |
Booker top scorer | +155 | +155 | +155 | +155 |
Giannis top scorer | +150 | +150 | +150 | +150 |
With Game 6 heading to the Fiserv Forum, this really is monstrous for the Bucks and their title hopes. The absolute last thing they want is to lose this one, then have to travel back to Phoenix to win the title. The Suns’ fans would have the place rocking, and Phoenix would of course have all the confidence in the world if they were able to force a Game 7.
Entering Game 7, the Bucks hold -205 NBA Finals odds, while the Suns have been listed at +172. The Las Vegas Sportsbooks believe that Milwaukee can get the job done, though Phoenix really will be ready to leave everything out on the floor to try and extend their season. We don’t think that will be the case here. We strongly believe Milwaukee will win Game 6 and become the champs. They’re our pick.
We’re also expecting this contest to be a high-scoring affair, which is why we suggest you take the over in Game 6 of the Bucks-Suns series. With both sides featuring so much talent throughout the roster, points are going to be scored left and right in Game 6. It has what it takes to feel like a track meet, with guys flying up and down the court trying to make plays happen.
With that in mind, the over-under for this contest has been set at 221.5 by the oddsmakers. Both the over and under has been set at -110. One thing to consider is that three of the five games have surpassed 221.5, while Game 3 (220 points) and Game 4 (212 points) didn’t make it. In Game 5, though, the Bucks recorded their brilliant 123-119 win. That’s a total of 242 points, which smashes 221.5.
Because of what’s at stake in Game 6, we really do believe that these two teams will give it their all. For the Bucks, a win means they’d record their first NBA Finals championship since 1971. That’s right, it’s been a mind-blowing 50 years since Milwaukee last was able to call themselves the champions. Do you know how much pressure there is for them in Game 6?
Meanwhile, for the Suns, they’ve never won the title. They’ve been to the Finals three times (1976, 1993 and 2021), but haven’t been over the hump. In order for them to make history, they’ll have to win Game 6. Booker, Paul and the rest of the superstars know this, obviously. Because of this, they’re going to have to play their best and ball out. Both teams will be ready to put on a show. Take the over.
Although we have the Bucks as our pick to win on Tuesday night and be crowned the champs, look for Devin Booker to be the top scorer in Game 6. All eyes will be on Booker to see if he can try and come through in the clutch for his team. There’s no question that Booker is one of the best young players in the league. He puts up great numbers whenever the ball is in his hands.
In Game 5, he was the game-high scorer with his 40 points. In the Game 4 loss, he was also the game-high scorer with 42 points. So, in the past two games, he’s averaging 41 points? That’s simply epic. Now, come Tuesday night in Milwaukee, he’ll hope to put up a similar kind of performance in order to give his side a shot of upsetting Milwaukee and ruining their Finals plans.
Booker holds +155 odds to finish as the top scorer, while Antetokounmpo holds the best odds at +100. Yes, we expect the Greek Freak to be awesome as well and score potentially 30+ points, but with that said, we do think that Booker will be the game-high scorer for the third-straight contest. He always seems to live up to the hype and Game 6 should be no different. We’re rocking with him as our pick. Do you agree? Check out our NBA betting sites to get a wager in.
