MLB Betting Futures likes heading down the table for one or two of our early World Series picks. Now, while the usual suspects like Los Angeles and Atlanta are favorites, everyone remembers what happened last year. Now, one of our two longer shots (the Texas Rangers) won the World Series. With a few weeks to go until the 2024 MLB season, hope springs eternal. VegasBetting leans in once again with 2024 MLB World Series Bets.
Let us crunch some more numbers while trying to stay away from more trendy choices and favorites.
MLB Betting Futures and the 2024 MLB World Series Bets acknowledges what happened in 2023. Why? The devil you get to know can be worse than the devil you know. Last season proved this in Major League Baseball. Imagine seeing several 100+ win teams tumble in the Division Series like dominoes. Atlanta and Los Angeles were easily eliminated and almost too predictably by Philadelphia and Arizona.
Please understand the difference between old standards and new forces. Texas rode timely hitting and clutch pitching to quite the performance. Maybe, they do not do quite as well being the hunted. Could Philadelphia and even Arizona be possibilities? MLB Vegas Online Betting Odds draw up some interesting theories and predictions. Anyway here lies the table below.
2024 World Series Futures | |||
---|---|---|---|
LA Dodgers | +350 | +300 | +340 |
Atlanta Braves | +450 | +500 | +470 |
Houston Astros | +800 | +800 | +770 |
New York Yankees | +1000 | +1000 | +870 |
Baltimore Orioles | +1200 | +1200 | +1250 |
Texas Rangers | +1400 | +1400 | +1200 |
Philadelphia Phillies | +1500 | +1800 | +1275 |
Toronto Blue Jays | +2000 | +2200 | +1675 |
Every bettor asks who is this year’s Texas or Baltimore? The answer is no one truly knows. With so many incredible teams at the top, the feeling is that someone is going to sneak up and surprise. It becomes a question of who. Bluntly, at VegasBetting, we got very lucky last season. It helps to look at historical data to a point.
Bettors concern themselves with the BetOnline online Sportsbook review, but the numbers lurk around with some value. That V word gets loathed and rightfully so sometimes. However, teams are around the corner and off the grid a little. Do not look at the New York Mets. Do not even bother. Trust us, there are more squads who are likely “persona non betta.”
So, the MLB Betting Futures inch toward San Diego. Now, there remains tons of risk with San Diego. However, the early makeup of San Diego could be overlooked because of what happened in 2023. Their expected win total was at least 92 yet they won 82. Can they turn a few losses into wins and sneak into the postseason? That makes any team worthy of being among our 2024 MLB Betting World Series Bets.
This could blow up again in our faces too. Does Blake Snell opt for a short-term deal in San Diego? Does he go elsewhere? Even without Snell, the Padres are a pretty formidable team. It comes down to can they get off to a better start? 2023 saw them win 14 of their final 16 games. This was a Padres squad that should not have been 38-46 after 84 games the previous campaign.
At around +6000, San Diego is a longer shot fans and bettors may like. Again, there is so much that can happen between now and November. San Diego needs to get off to a better start. They just have to. If the Padres play the 2024 season similar to those final 2 1/2 weeks then look out. This team can scare the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves. They might steal the spot Arizona rode to the World Series in 2023.
Projected off potential records, the assertion that San Diego is +6000 in MLB Betting Futures seems a bit much. There is some validity here but the Padres could win 92-96 games and sneak in behind division winning Los Angeles. Then, cue the damage.
Okay, it is time to ask if there are so many favorites in the 2024 MLB World Series Bets? Some fret because of “superteams” like the Atlanta Braves, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, etc.. Even the Texas Rangers get lumped in because they won the title in 2023. Texas and Houston expect to battle again for the American League West title. They might tire each other out.
While the divisional races will carry their own intrigue, again it is hard to get behind any of these early favorites. Los Angeles and Atlanta seemed to have learned nothing. The Yankees are the Yankees again and believe they can bash their way to glory with a few pitchers. Baltimore and Texas, like we said, are not sneaking up on anyone anymore. It does feel like 2024 could act a little like 2023.
Projections from these MLB Betting World Series Picks get intriguing. Again, the idea we maintain is staying away from the really obvious picks and opt for longer shots at the fringe or off the table. Teams like Toronto, Chicago, and a look back to Arizona are possible. The Cubs and Diamondbacks are interesting as Chicago could easily take the Central then blaze a trail of their own. Their number may shorten.
Among these three teams, we ditch the favorites and opt for Chicago. An easier division with the ability to get hot when it counts might be the recipe for success.
The MLB Online Betting Sites go to the MLB Betting Futures. Take a look at some of these teams and others to check out who could be there at the end.
