October baseball keeps rolling out surprise after surprise. Now, the Philadelphia Phillies open Game 1 of the NLCS against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday night. So, Philadelphia comes in as a -192 favorite to advance to the World Series. VegasBetting opens the week with Diamondbacks vs Phillies Betting Picks.
Can the Philadelphia Phillies start off the NLCS like the NLDS and the Wild Card?
Simply, the Philadelphia Phillies keep rolling along. Philadelphia has won three straight games at Citizens Bank Park and has won five of six overall this postseason. The fans root for their team heartily, and the atmosphere is nuts. Philadelphia players generate an enthusiasm that has engrossed their city and endeared them to their fans. The feeling is mutual, and that 90-win season is a thing of the distant past. Bluntly, Philadelphia is on a roll.
Philadelphia won 49 times during the regular season, and we have mentioned that too many times on here. Again, the Phillies play differently at home. The pace increases, and even the pitchers seem to perform better. Look at how Ranger Suarez fared against Atlanta in the last series. He outpitched Spencer Strider. Suarez pitched five innings of scoreless ball in the 3-1 Game 4 clincher. That allowed Rob Thompson to go to Zach Wheeler for Game 1.

Atlanta looks more like the team that won 90 teams during the regular season as opposed to the league-leading 104. It’s funny how much has changed in just three games of this series. Little has changed from last year’s postseason. If anything, Philadelphia has turned Atlanta away at almost every turn. When Bryce Harper homered twice in Game 3, it was a clear sign that Atlanta was in deep, deep trouble.
So, BetOnline and their top Vegas online Sportsbook review toss out a few more bets of interest. For the moneyline, Philadelphia again is the favorite here. After winning several different ways, the betting public knows what is there. The Phillies are on a roll and specialize in stopping teams with plenty of momentum.
Now, the Braves vs Phillies Best Bets for Monday really like how the Phillies are playing. Yes, the extra couple of days rest might lead to a little rust. However, their home crowd advantage should help mitigate any sloppy play. This game comes down to the bats, and can they get to Somerdale, New Jersey, native Zac Gallen. The youngster is on the big stage now. Gallen’s previous four starts have been solid. However, Philadelphia has an opening.
VegasBetting likes Philadelphia’s ability to get on base. The one thing Gallen does do is get a little wild. He has walked three or more batters in his last five outings. Now, that could set the table for some of Philadelphia’s bigger bats. None have been hotter than Nick Castellannos. The Phillies’ slugger hit four home runs in his previous two games. It seems Philadelphia has a hero for every occasion this postseason.
Numbers keep getting shorter and shorter for Philadelphia. The Phillies have been here before, while the Diamondbacks look a little like last year’s Philadelphia team. Yes, Gallen could steal a game here, but Wheeler has been so good at home. If not for the one huge gaffe by the Phillies’ bullpen, the Phillies would have won Game 2 in Atlanta. Wheeler struck out ten on the road and was in line for the victory.
Philadelphia knows Arizona will try anything and everything to steal a game in the “City Of Brotherly Love.” The strange thing is that the Phillies are comfortable with their role as a favorite now. Really, the only team they are an underdog against is Houston. The moneyline represents a safe bet for now.
October weather will be pretty pleasant on Monday night in Southeast Pennsylvania. So, is the runline possible with Diamondbacks vs Phillies Bets? Now, the problem here is whether the Phillies win by two or more runs yet again. Thursday night was a biblical sweat. Atlanta got a few runners on with no out, and somehow, Philadelphia doused that rally with a little luck and some slick fielding.
Now, Arizona jumped out to lead against Los Angeles with ease. Game 1 of that NLDS saw the Diamondbacks light up Clayton Kershaw for six runs in 1/3 of an inning. That was surprising even by Los Angeles standards. It was something the Dodgers never recovered from as the Diamondbacks swept past the team from Southern California, who won over 100 games.
Respectfully, this Phillies team knows the team they will see on Monday night well. This series features two electric bullpens. Arizona sports an ERA under two, while Philadelphia is at a minuscule 1.45. During the season, the Phillies had an anchor of a bullpen which ranked in the top seven in several categories. Arizona ranked in the middle of the pack. At some point, that advantage should win out and could late in Game 1.
MLB Online Betting Sites holds more betting choices. Look at the Phillies at +195 to win the World Series. That might come down. Also, wait and see Zack Wheeler’s K prop. Hit the alternate potentially depending on the number.
