The MotoGP season is back for the third race of the season as they head to the iconic Ciruit of the Americas track in Austin, Texas this weekend.
The legendary rider Marc Marquez has started the season in perfect form with wins and the fastest lap in each of the first two races, and he now heads to the favorite track of his career looking to extend his lead at the top.
But he will have some fierce competition from his rivals on the grid, so we will take a look at the race and provide you with our best free MotoGP betting picks to try and earn you some extra cash while you enjoy the action on the track.
The six-time world champion is making a beeline for his next world title after a stunning start to the season, and he is likely to be the odds-on favorite to get the job done once again in 2025.
After dominating in both Thailand and Argentina already this season, Marquez now makes the trip to his absolute favorite track in his career where he has already won seven times throughout his illustrious time in MotoGP.
That is five time more than anyone else, with Alex Rins next best with two wins. Marquez also has the most pole positions with 7, and is on the fastest bike on the entire track right now to make things even more difficult for the rest of the grid.
This is without a doubt Marquez’s race to lose, but it’s not a guarantee. In 2024 Marquez DNF’d, in 2023 he didn’t race, and in 2022 he finished 6th. But prior to that he won every race bar one either at the Circuit of the Americas or in Indianapolis, stretching back to 2013 – for 11 wins in 12 races.
He’s the obvious choice here but the odds are likely to reflect that and probably won’t offer much value. He will be pushing hard for a third consecutive win this season and it may be worth looking to bet on him to get the fastest lap too to boost the price a bit and get better bang for your buck.

Looking beyond the current leader and heavy favorite Marquez, his teammate Bagnaia is likely to be a serious contender for success here.
Bagnaia has finished third and fourth respectively in each of the first two races of the season so far in Thailand and Argentina, and his times in pre-season were up there with the best. He’s a candidate for success and has had previous success here too.
He’s the racer with the second most pole positions after Marquez (2), and last season he finished in fifth place after starting the race in fourth, finishing over seven seconds behind winner Maverick Vinales, who racked up record-breaking times in the race.
In 2021 he finished third and in 2022 he finished fifth again, while in 2023 he was forced to retire early. A top-five finish won’t be seen as a success really and if you don’t think Marquez will get the win then Bagnaia is the man to back.

The younger brother of the heavy favorite and current championship leader, Alex Marquez has been living in his siblings’ shadow this season despite a sensational start to his own personal campaign.
The Gresini Ducati rider has finished as the runner-up behind his brother in both Thailand and Argentina and currently sits in second place in the Drivers’ championship standings.
Alex has never been able to cross the chequered flag first in his career despite 90 races so far, but he does have seven podium finishes from just a single pole position. His brother is convinced he will break that duck at some point this season, and if not Marc then why not Alex to get the job done?
In 2024 he finished 15th but he has never been in a groove with riding like he is coming into this race, and there will be plenty of confidence for him to go all the way. The odds will be solid too, so it’s one to take a look at for sure if you are expecting a surprise winner.
