Super Bowl LVIII Plans
The transformation of the Las Vegas Strip for Super Bowl LVIII is set to commence this week, accompanied by road closures leading up to the big game.
The NFL and CBS shared plans with Clark County commissioners in December, revealing renderings that depict a federally mandated 300-foot safety perimeter around Allegiant Stadium.
This area will host hospitality events, the game-day tailgate, and broadcast operations, with move-in activities spanning approximately a month.
Katie Keenan, senior director of event operations, informed commissioners on December 19 that the construction process on the stadium campus begins on January 8, progressing steadily towards the stadium campus lockdown scheduled for February 3.
CBS also plays a significant role in creating stages for its pre-Super Bowl programming.
Patty Power, CBS Executive Vice President of Operations and Engineering, announced the commencement of stage construction over the Fountains of Bellagio on January 3.
The four stages will host various news and entertainment shows in the week leading up to the Sunday game. Load-in activities will prompt the closure of two southbound lanes along Las Vegas Boulevard near the fountains until at least January 4.

The Culinary Local 226 has signaled the possibility of a strike as early as next week, impacting CES.
