The desert sky will light up with a dazzling display on New Year’s Eve as Las Vegas prepares for its annual fireworks extravaganza to welcome in 2025.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has revealed that this year’s celebration will feature fireworks launched from the rooftops of 10 iconic locations throughout the entertainment capital, spanning from the renowned Las Vegas Strip to downtown Vegas.

The festivities will commence with a countdown at one of Las Vegas’s latest landmarks, Sphere. Its “Exosphere” features around 1.2 million LED pucks arranged eight inches apart.
According to Sphere Entertainment officials, each puck can display 256 million colors. This will create the largest screen in the world.
On New Year’s Eve, the Exosphere’s vibrant, spherical display will signal the start of the celebrations.
A year ago, the eight-minute celebration welcoming 2024 was touted as the largest ever held in Las Vegas. Steve Hill, the CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor’s Authority, described it as “the biggest firework show in the world.”
This spectacular event had been planned for a year and involved the collaboration of numerous regional officials.
Clark County, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, and various partner resorts were involved. It also required thousands of electrical circuits to bring the vision to life.
“It’s a fine line we need to navigate, and our goal is to successfully tackle that challenge,” stated Scott Cooper, the director of business development for Fireworks by Grucci.
An estimated 350,000 people were anticipated to gather in Las Vegas to welcome in 2024. No estimates have yet been provided for the celebrations in 2025.
