Caesars strong 2024 performance
While business on the Las Vegas Strip has cooled somewhat after hosting major events like an F1 race and the Super Bowl, COO Anthony Carano discussed the company’s performance during its first-quarter earnings call.
“There were several bright spots during the quarter,” Carano shared, “including record Q1 occupancy in Las Vegas driven by strong visitation, 23% growth in online sports gaming net revenue, 54% growth in iCasino net gaming revenue in our digital segment, and sequential improvement in operating results in our regional segment each month during Q1.”
The company had an outstanding quarter for room occupancy on the Strip.
“Occupancy in Q1 reached 97.6%, setting a new Q1 record,” he noted. “This high occupancy also led to record Q1 cash hotel and food and beverage revenues during the quarter.”
