MMA fans have Saturday, June 26 circled on their calendars, as there’s another brilliant showcase on the way. That’s because heavyweights Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov headline what’s expected to be a thrilling night of action. In this article, we have picks for Gane vs. Volkov UFC Fight Night, which is sure to draw millions of fans in to watch from across the world.
Cyril Gane is expected to take down Alexander Volkov
In the main event of the evening, Cyril Gane is expected to take down Alexander Volkov in a battle that will feature two absolute giants. Both of these fighters are known for delivering haymakers left and right, which is sure to make things so much more intriguing. With their power, a knockout should be on the way, which of course is going to add to the excitement of things.
Entering the fight, Gane has been given -144 UFC odds, while the Las Vegas sportsbooks have given Volkov +120 odds. Gane is a perfect 8-0-0 in his career thus far. Volkov has more experience, but his 33-8-0 mark is something that may steer folks away from betting on him. Volkov does have a size advantage, as he checks in at 6-6, 250 pounds.
Gane isn’t tiny, however, as he’s 6-3, 245 pounds. Despite Volkov having the height and reach advantage here, that doesn’t mean that it will be enough for him to overtake Gane. Gane has been nothing short of impressive throughout his UFC career, and he’ll look to make another statement in this UFC Fight Night. Beating someone like Volkov will only add to his hype.
Volkov is going to try and do everything possible to prevent that from happening, but things really are going to be tough. Gane has looked unstoppable in his fights, with his power and quickness being too much to handle for his opposition time and time again. We strongly think this will once again be the case when these two meet, as Gane is our pick to come out on top. If you’re interested in making a wager, be sure to check out our UFC betting sites.
Ovince Saint Preux vs. Maxim Grishin should be an incredible fight
In the co-main event, Ovince Saint Preux vs. Maxim Grishin should be an incredible fight for everyone to enjoy once this Fight Night arrives. If you want to talk about some outstanding experience, both these light heavyweights offer loads of it. Saint Preux, 38 years old, has appeared in 40 UFC fights. Meanwhile for Grishin, 37, he has made 42 UFC appearances.
These guys know what it takes to come out on top of some big fights inside of the octagon, and they’ll look to repeat things once they meet later this month. Things really are expected to be neck-and-neck between these two standouts, as they’re both going to be fired up to prove they still have plenty left in the tank despite both climbing a bit in age.
Grishin holds -104 odds, and Saint Preux has -115 odds. Those numbers really tell the public that this matchup could go either way. While a TKO could come at any second, we also wouldn’t be surprised if the two fighters end up going the distance. Because of their experience, they’re smart fighters and they’re not going to make any silly mistakes to haunt them.
It will be interesting to see how this one plays out. UFC fans should expect anything to happen, with both Saint Preux and Grishin both confident they’ll be victorious. In what truly should be a close one, making a selection for this bout is definitely easier said than done. With that said, and as difficult as it is to go with one over the other, we’re rocking with Saint Preux as our pick.
Ramazan Emeev is the favorite to beat Warlley Alves
Last but not least, Ramazan Emeev is the favorite to beat Warlley Alvez when the two put on the gloves and trade countless blows against one another. In addition to the two meetings listed above, the one between Emeev and Alves is also going to be a fight that no UFC supporters are going to want to miss. In a welterweight tilt, this is going to be a bout to remember.
Emeev (-138 odds) is 20-4-0, while Alves (+115 odds) is 15-4-0. In his last fight, Emeev went toe-to-toe on UFC on ABC with David Zawada. In that one, Emeev came away with a win via decision, as neither guy was able to record a TKO in the three rounds of action. Meanwhile for Alves, he recorded a downright impressive first-round TKO in January going up against Mounir Lazzez.
Now, we’ll have to wait and see which superstar fighter will come away with a much-needed victory in late June under the bright lights. This should be a really fun one, and we also wouldn’t be surprised if this goes into either the second or third round. With that in mind, we’re going with Emeev as our pick to be the winner. We believe he’ll land several big punches and record a knockout victory.
