The renowned MGM Grand Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip has announced a $300 million renovation that will update its main tower’s 4,212 rooms and suites.
The entire project is expected to be completed by December 2025. However, guests can start booking the newly remodeled rooms from the first phase beginning March 1, 2025.

“MGM Grand has long been recognized as the center of entertainment and excitement in Las Vegas and these newly remodeled rooms, coupled with new attractions on the horizon, demonstrate our commitment to evolving the guest experience for both leisure and business travelers,” MGM Grand President Mike Neubecker said in a Jan. 17 statement.
“These new rooms are a significant milestone in the property’s evolution as MGM Grand positions itself for the exciting developments set for the south end of The Strip,” Neubecker said.
The renovation of the main tower draws inspiration from the glitz of the disco era. It seamlessly blends with contemporary features to foster a fun and sophisticated atmosphere.
The renovation will add 111 new suites to the main tower, bringing the total to 753. The suites’ sizes range from 675 to 2,572 square feet.
These updated suites will feature dark ebony and walnut wood finishes. They will also include entertainment areas that include cozy sectionals and lenticular artwork that changes with the viewer’s angle.
The redesigned suite bathrooms will come equipped with double mirrors and modern shower installations.
King Rooms will boast luxurious walnut wood finishes, warm gray textured wallpaper, and vibrant carpet patterns.
Meanwhile, Queen Rooms will highlight lighter gray stone finishes, vertical sconce details, and custom headboards.
All rooms will showcase upgraded media consoles adorned with a starburst wood design. This should add a touch of elegance to the overall look.
To enhance guest convenience, charging stations equipped with USB, USB-C, and standard outlets will be positioned on either side of the bed. Smart TVs will be mounted on the walls to enhance the in-room entertainment options.
The remodeling will feature original artwork throughout the space. Each room and corridor will display distinct pieces that encapsulate MGM Grand’s rich history and future vision.
As guests stroll through the corridors, they will be greeted by LED artwork reminiscent of the vibrant disco era. The artwork narrates a tale of exploration and self-discovery.
The carpet boasts floral and dreamy patterns, complemented by light wood wall coverings. This ensures a warm and inviting atmosphere in the newly remodeled rooms.
MGM Grand is set to unveil various new dining options and attractions, including the much-anticipated opening of Netflix Bites in early 2025. The restaurant will offer dishes inspired by popular Netflix shows.
