When the Hard Rock Hotel Casino opens in a few years, the tram between it and Treasure Island will be back in operation.
Representatives from both properties confirmed that the jointly-operated tram will resume service when the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas and Guitar Hotel Las Vegas open in 2027.

This complimentary tram, which transported guests between the two Strip locations, ceased operation shortly before the July 17 closure of the Mirage casino-hotel.
The former Mirage site is now permanently closed, allowing South Florida-based Hard Rock International to embark on a multi-year renovation project.
This project will include a complete overhaul of the casino hotel and constructing a 660-foot hotel tower shaped like a guitar along Las Vegas Boulevard.
The tram service was a joint venture between HRI and Treasure Island. HRI maintained the line, and Treasure Island covered 50 percent of the costs.
The TI/Mirage tram system originally opened in 1993, when former casino magnate Steve Wynn owned both properties. The tram features two cars, each capable of carrying up to 50 passengers.
Two other free tram services are available in Las Vegas, both connecting MGM Resorts International properties.
One tram links Aria, the Shops at Crystals, the Bellagio, and Park MGM, while the other serves the southern end of The Strip, connecting Luxor, Excalibur, and Mandalay Bay.
Balcony Views return to the Strip
The Paris Las Vegas hotel on the Las Vegas Strip has announced that it is now accepting bookings for its newly renovated balcony strip view rooms.
These rooms are located in the Versailles Tower, which recently became part of the Paris Las Vegas property. According to the hotel’s website, the 55-square-foot balconies provide “unmatched views” of the Strip.
The preview shows a direct view of the Bellagio across the street, making these rooms ideal for those planning to attend upcoming Formula 1 races.
The full room description reads: “Experience Vegas from new heights with the renovated Versailles Balcony room at our Paris Las Vegas hotel. Enjoy 445 square feet of contemporary Parisian design, one king bed, a 55″ flat-screen desk with task chair, and stylish sofa. The 55-square-foot balcony provides unmatched views of the Vegas strip. Retreat to the marble-designed bathroom featuring upscale fixtures, shower, vanity, and hairdryer.”
Guests can choose between the “Versailles Balcony Room” with either one King bed or two Queen beds, depending on their preference.
For some context, the Versailles Tower was previously known as the Jubilee Tower and was part of Bally’s.
However, Bally’s has been rebranded as Horseshoe Las Vegas, and the Jubilee Tower has been “transferred” to Paris Las Vegas.
Caesars Entertainment manages all of these properties, so the changes were part of a rebranding and reallocating assets.
Since the Versailles Tower is physically located across the street from the Paris Las Vegas lobby, a pedestrian bridge is currently under construction to connect the two, reducing the walking distance.
For now, it’s a fairly long walk between the two locations. Guests must walk through the Paris Las Vegas casino, continue via the connecting walkway to the Horseshoe, and then turn left to walk all the way to the southwest end, where the Versailles Tower elevators are located.
Once the new bridge is completed, it should significantly shorten the travel time on foot. The balcony rooms are situated on the western end of the tower and offer extensive views of the Strip.
