Super Bowl 58 is right around the corner, with all the festivities taking place on Sunday, February 11th in Las Vegas. The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will face off to see who will be the king of the NFL for the next year. KC finds themselves in the grand finale after beating the AFC-best Baltimore Ravens last weekend by a score of 17-10 where they managed to slow down Lamar Jackson. San Francisco meanwhile beat the Detroit Lions in a very entertaining affair that went right down to the wire. Below, we’re going to take a look at some Super Bowl props for who could have the most receptions in the game.
Travis Kelce is the frontrunner to have the most catches at +150 odds followed by teammate Rashee Rice at +200. Brandon Aiyuk (+450) and Deebo Samuel (+475) are two others to watch for this prop on the 49ers.
Travis Kelce (+150)
Surprising? Not at all. Although Kelce didn’t have the greatest season to his standards, he’s proven his worth in the playoffs. The tight end reeled in 11 catches on 11 targets in the AFC Championship against the Ravens for 116 yards and a touchdown. Kelce played a massive part in the outcome of that game. In the Divisional Round vs the Bills, Kelce also had five grabs for 75 yards and two scores. You can see the trend here. Kelce is stepping up when it matters most and you better believe he’ll be ready to ball out in the Super Bowl. There’s a legitimate chance he leads the game in receiving yards.
Rashee Rice (+200)
The Chiefs were rather inconsistent offensively in 2023 but one player who exceeded expectations was rookie Rashee Rice. The SMU product had 79 catches for 938 yards and seven touchdowns during the regular season for an average of 11.9 yards per reception. In the playoffs, he’s also been productive with 12 grabs between the two contests. Against the Ravens, Rice had eight catches for 46 yards. Rice is a reliable target for Patrick Mahomes, who urged the Chiefs to draft him last year. Expect him to have a nice role in the Super Bowl, but it remains to be seen if he’ll have more catches than Kelce.
Brandon Aiyuk (+450)
The Niners have a lot of weapons on both sides of the ball. One of them is wideout Brandon Aiyuk, their most efficient pass-catcher. Aiyuk led the WR room with 75 grabs for 1,342 yards and seven TDs in the season. It was a massive campaign for Aiyuk. However, he’s been relatively quiet in the playoffs, reeling in just three catches in each of San Francisco’s playoff games so far. That being said, he will be one of Purdy’s main targets and the Niners offense knows what Aiyuk is capable of. He’s a big-time player. At +450, he could be worth a small wager here. It wouldn’t hurt.
Deebo Samuel (+475)
Deebo Samuel is the definition of a Swiss Army knife for the 49ers. He can run the ball and serve as a solid option downfield. With McCaffrey firing on all cylinders, Deebo’s role has moved a little bit more to a WR, although he does still run the ball sometimes. Samuel had 60 receptions in the season for nearly 1,000 yards and he’s reeled in 10 catches in two playoff games so far, too. Deebo had eight grabs against the Lions in the NFC Championship. He’s one to watch in the most receiving yards props.
George Kittle (+1000)
Kittle isn’t Travis Kelce, but he’s one of the best tight ends in the NFL. Kittle surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in 23′ but only had 65 receptions, one of his lowest marks in years. In the playoffs, the veteran hasn’t had a massive role either. Against the Lions, Kittle only reeled in two catches. I have my doubts he’ll be leading this game in rushing yards.
Super Bowl Props Picks For Most Receiving Yards
You would be foolish to not bet on Kelce for most receiving yards, but I also think Brandon Aiyuk is worth it. Can’t go wrong with a wager on both players who will likely play an integral part in the outcome of this contest.
