Thousands of runners will converge on the Strip and downtown Las Vegas this weekend for the annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series.
The event includes three races: a 5K on Saturday in downtown and both a 10K and a half-marathon on Sunday along the Strip, stretching from Russell Road to downtown.
To ensure the safety of participants, numerous road closures will be in place along Las Vegas Boulevard and in the downtown area.

Saturday Road Closures
The downtown 5K race is set to kick off at 5 p.m., starting at the intersection of Bridger Avenue and Fourth Street. Road closures will commence at 8 a.m. and are expected to wrap up by 11 p.m.
The Downtown Las Vegas Events Center will be the focal point for race day activities on Saturday. Runners will begin at Bridger and Fourth Street, finishing at the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Fremont Street.

As the race unfolds, there will be rolling road closures affecting parts of Las Vegas Boulevard, Fremont Street, Maryland Parkway, and Bridger, Carson, and Garces Avenues.
Additionally, Las Vegas Boulevard will be closed to traffic between Ogden and Bridger avenues from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The section between Bridger and Hoover avenues will see closures from 4 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. for southbound traffic and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for northbound traffic.
The 10K race and half-marathon will kick off at 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard.
To accommodate the event, there will be several road closures on Sunday, along with temporary staging areas for the start and finish lines:
From 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.: Las Vegas Boulevard southbound will be closed between Park and Tropicana Avenues, as well as Park Avenue itself.
From 8 a.m. until 2 a.m. on Monday: Las Vegas Boulevard southbound will be closed between Flamingo Road and Harmon Avenue. However, a single southbound access lane will remain open for Aria via a right turn from Harmon eastbound to Park Avenue westbound.
🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT: ROCK ‘N’ ROLL LAS VEGAS ROAD CLOSURES 🚧
🚗 Expect delays and closures on Las Vegas Blvd and surrounding roads for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas event.
The half-marathon spans 13.1 miles. Both races take place along Las Vegas Boulevard between Russell Road and Carson Avenue downtown.
Sunday Road Closures
The closures for these races will occur at staggered times and will vary:
Between 2:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.: Las Vegas Boulevard southbound will be closed from Tropicana to Sunset Road, along with Russell eastbound between Frank Sinatra Drive and Las Vegas Boulevard, and Las Vegas Boulevard northbound between Russell and Park Avenue.
Between 2:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., Las Vegas Boulevard northbound will be closed between St. Louis Avenue/Main Street and Carson Avenue. Additionally, Bridger Avenue between Las Vegas Boulevard and Seventh Street, Seventh Street between Bridger and Carson, and Carson between Las Vegas Boulevard and Seventh Street will be closed.
The northbound lanes between Sahara Avenue and St. Louis Avenue/Main Street will be closed from 2:30 to 10 p.m.
The southbound lanes between Carson and Sahara will be closed from 2:30 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.
Both directions of Las Vegas Boulevard between Spring Mountain Road and Sahara will be closed from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
From 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., the following areas will also be closed: northbound lanes between Park and Flamingo, northbound between Flamingo and Spring Mountain, and southbound between Spring Mountain and Flamingo.
Additionally, the northbound lanes between Sunset and Russell will be closed from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
I-15 Closures
From 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., the following closures will be in effect: the I-15 northbound and southbound off-ramps to Spring Mountain Road, the I-15 southbound ramp to Sahara Avenue eastbound, and the I-15 northbound and southbound off-ramps to Charleston eastbound.
However, motorists can still access Charleston westbound from both I-15 ramps.

Additionally, from 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., the I-15 northbound and southbound off-ramps to Flamingo eastbound and the I-15 northbound ramp to Harmon eastbound will be closed.
