NASCAR goes deep in the heart of Texas for the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400. The top 12 for the playoff chase attempt to clinch one of the coveted eight spots. With a few surprise drivers eliminated, the second leg presents some new opportunities for drivers not expected to still be in contention. So, the first leg of the second round takes place on Sunday afternoon. Yes, the NASCAR betting odds for the Texas race are here.
The Texas numbers for Sunday afternoon are a little crunched, with five drivers shorter than +900 on BetOnline, Bovada, and MyBookie. Now, the second round starts this weekend as the playoff points reset. Again, with William Byron and Martin Truex Jr. at the top, there are eight spots up for grabs over the next three weeks. Fortunately, the Bovada online betting Vegas sportsbook gave us some solid Sunday afternoon numbers.

Saturday qualifying and Sunday racing expect to not be impacted by rain. There is a slight chance of a thundershower with temperatures in the 90’s.
NASCAR Texas Bets begins leg two and opens up some choices. With a dozen drivers left, we are thankful for the driver points reset in some ways. This places William Byron, Martin Truex Jr., and Denny Hamlin in the top three places again. However, with Texas, Talladega, and the Charlotte ROVAL, things will get interesting really fast. Some drivers are licking their chops, and some are a bit hesitant.
Now, this Texas race could bring about some unexpected results. Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch have occupied the victory lane. However, so have Tyler Reddick and even Austin Dillon. That is how unpredictable NASCAR gets this time of year. Even the Legacy Motor Club team is finally seeing some results. While some Ford cars continue to slide backward, Chris Buescher and Brad Keselowski are very much alive from RFK Racing.
Alas, the RFK drivers have a couple, Hendrick Motorsports have a couple (Kyle Larson and William Byron). Then, there is Toyota with Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin, and Christopher Bell. They all come from the Joe Gibbs Team. Add in Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick from 23XI Racing, part-owned by Hamlin. Now, this is where things get interesting. Who does Hamlin protect if it comes down to that?
VegasBetting fared pretty well thanks to live-betting Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell to win and lead a lot of laps, respectively. Texas is a 1.5-mile track built on carnage. There were a total of 16 cautions, racking up 91 laps. That’s more than a quarter of the race. Ouch!
NASCAR Texas bets fire off in multiple ways on Sunday afternoon. Okay, overtime typically does not happen. There is less of a chance of rain, too. Also, the race had been 500 miles (334 laps) up until last Fall. Now, it drops to 267 laps and 400 miles.
Texas has seen its share of winners. Last year, Tyler Reddick shocked many by winning in Fort Worth. Before that, Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson crossed the finish line first. 2020 was that crazy race that took three days. From 2017-2019, Kevin Harvick dominated and won three straight times. Let’s take a look at who was fast on the Texas track last year.
Now, the Toyota had some issues last year with Martin Truex Jr. Even Chase Elliott from Hendrick had the dreaded blown tire while leading and crashed. Kyle Busch and Christopher Bell were running well until disaster struck, too. It was just a rough race all around. Can a guy like Truex Jr. take advantage of a new lease on life after last week when essentially Joey Logano and Kevin Harvick’s cars eliminated them?
Naturally, with a potential Round of 8 spot there for the taking, there are several cars to take a shot at. It feels like we are headed toward a Phoenix Battle Royal with Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin. First, both drivers have to get past leg number two. Hamlin won last week, Reddick won two weeks ago, and Larson won three weeks ago. Kyle Larson looks poised to take advantage of his 25% win rate on 1.5-mile intermediate tracks.
Online betting site bonuses and boosts are needed for racing this weekend, too. With how good Hendrick has been on intermediate tracks like Texas, there is either Chase Elliott, William Byron, or Kyle Larson. Last year, all were fast in Texas, but none returned with the victory.
Yes, the stage structure (80-85-102) favors drivers that can go fast on the longer runs. Chevy and Toyota seem to enjoy an advantage. Again, we refer to the Hendrick, Joe Gibbs, and 23XI Racing teams. However, Ryan Blaney and Brad Keselowski have finished in the top ten in each of the four races. It will be interesting to see who among the longer shots looks good in qualifying. There may be money to make a small wager or two.
The NASCAR Texas wagers like some more cars. Again, Tyler Reddick is hard to dismiss here at Texas, and even Christopher Bell finished third in 2020 and 2021 before DVP got him last year. Bell at +1200 or even Elliott at +1600 come in as fun choices. In head-to-heads, Chase Elliott is -105 over Ryan Blaney and -12 over Ross Chastain. Both are solid small-money wagers with potential.
NASCAR Texas Bets for VegasBetting sticks with Kyle Larson for Sunday afternoon.
