This Sunday is the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix from the world-famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The race favorite is Max Verstappen, who has dominated the 2023 season and is on course for another World Championship title. In our latest Formula 1 betting picks, we tell you if he will win again, and we also name our picks for the final race before the summer break.

The European leg of the season is almost over, which is a bit of a relief for any F1 fans in the Eastern Time Zone who like to lie in on a Sunday morning. After this Sunday’s Belgian Grand Prix, there is a four-week gap before the Dutch Grand Prix, with the Italian Grand Prix taking place the following weekend.
After that, the races are off to all corners of the globe again, meaning race start times will be more sporadic, but the majority will start later for race fans in the ET Zone.
For now, though, we’re stuck with the early starts, and this week, it’s 9 am again.
Another thing we find ourselves stuck with is watching a procession for Max Verstappen. His win in Hungary last Sunday was his seventh in succession and ninth of the season. The 2023 season has become more predictable than 2022!
The fight for second place
Thankfully, behind Verstappen, there is a bit of a contest developing. We’ve seen Aston Martin competing earlier in the season, and then there was a fightback of sorts from Mercedes. Now, we have the McLaren of Lando Norris also in the mix, with the young British driver finishing second in the last two races.
The good form from McLaren has probably come too late for Norris to compete with the likes of Sergio Perez, Fernando Alonso, and Lewis Hamiton for second place in the Drivers Championship. But if nothing else, it will liven up the fight for podium places for the remainder of the 2023 season.
2023 Belgian Grand Prix Winner Betting
The best Formula 1 betting sites are making Max Verstappen their favorite to win the race again. Having been -280 to win in Hungary last Sunday, Verstappen is back to -300 to win this week in Belgium.
Behind the dominant Dutchman is a trio of drivers, Sergio Perez, Lando Norris, and Lewis Hamilton, all at +1200, in joint-second place in the betting.

Betting to finish on the podium at the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix
Elsewhere, and in the betting to finish in the first three, Max Verstappen is -600, with Sergio Perez at -150 and Lando Norris at -140. Ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix, Norris was +250 in this market. So his back-to-back second-places have been noted by the best F1 betting sites.
Outside the three betting favorites, Lewis Hamilton is +150, with his Mercedes teammate George Russell at +275. Showing the shift in momentum towards McLaren, Norris’ teammate Oscar Piastri is next at odds of +300.
Our Belgian Grand Prix Betting Picks
Onto our betting picks to win the Belgian Grand Prix, and the question is, do we back Verstappen?
He will almost certainly win. Unless the double-world champion or his team makes a mistake, it looks a fairly safe bet that Verstappen will win his eighth successive race on Sunday.
But Verstappen or Red Bull will slip up one week, so we’re not going to bet on him at -300. Instead, we are looking at other markets we think we can cash in on.
One market we are looking at is the head-to-head matchups, and we’ve found a couple of bets here we think are good value. We’re not backing Lando Norris to finish in the top three, as he’s too short now. But we do feel he has a good chance of finishing ahead of Lewis Hamilton again this weekend.
Norris has finished ahead of Hamilton in the last three races. He was odds against earlier this week but is now into -110 to beat Hamilton in Belgium. We think that’s still a good bet and make it our opening pick.
Also looking like a good value bet in the head-to-head market is Daniel Ricciardo. Last weekend the Australian finished in a credible 13th place on his return to Formula 1. This saw him finish two places higher than his AlphaTauri teammate Yuki Tsunoda who could only manage 15th position.
This week, Ricciardo will be a race wiser and a race stronger. To beat his teammate again, Daniel Ricciardo is -120, and we think that looks like a good value betting pick.
