He has few doubts about making this happen, as Kelce has been sensational all year.
In the AFC Championship Game, Kelce showed how dangerous he could be, posting seven receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown. It’s clear that he’s the No. 1 pass-catching option for this team and that has been the case for Mahomes and KC since Tyreek Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins. In the Super Bowl, countless eyes will be on Kelce to deliver.

With Mahomes ready to flirt with 300 yards, we think that Kelce is going to get a large chunk of targets, and he could flirt with 100 yards on his own. In this case, we’re going with the over as our pick for Kelce.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the field, DeVonta Smith could have a monster game for the Eagles. Despite not being the biggest wideout in the game, Smith has been electric at times this campaign, and his acrobatic catch in the NFC Championship Game opened up many eyes people. Hurts will surely look his way quite often in the Super Bowl.
What could end up helping out Smith here is that the Chief’s secondary could try to focus on limiting A.J. Brown. There’s no question that Brown is an explosive wideout, and he’s one of the best big-bodies receivers in the game. With Brown being a focus for the KC defense, Smith will look to receive extra targets, and his mindset is, without question in the right place ahead of the biggest game of his life.
“I mean, it’s amazing from OTAs to camp to now,” Smith said on winning the NFC Championship game with the Eagles and the team’s thought process ahead of the Super Bowl vs. Kansas City. “Everybody came in every day and did the things they were supposed to do. Ultimately, the job’s not done. It’s always fun winning. Winning is always fun.”
Per the oddsmakers, Smith’s over/under for receiving yards has been set at 63.5 yards. In the win over the 49ers, Smith hauled in two receptions for 36 yards, but remember that the Eagles did most of their damage through the running game against San Francisco. Lastly, Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert should also hit the over here, as he will be a prime target for Hurts in this one. The strength of the Chief’s defense is easily their defensive line and pass-rushers, with Chris Jones and Frank Clark leading the charge. However, there’s a drop in the production regarding the linebackers and defensive backs, which is great news for Goedert.
The veteran tight end had games of at least 50 yards during the regular season, which was great to see for head coach Nick Sirianni. He could have an opportunity to have an expanded role in the offensive plans next weekend, too, with Hurts surely looking his way on several occasions. The over/under for Goedert has been placed at 46.5 yards, which could end up happening very well. We’re going with the over in this case.
