The sound of roaring engines will grace our presence in less than a month. When NASCAR gets to the Los Angeles area for the “Clash At the Colosseum.” Now, NASCAR races count when the green flag comes down for the Daytona 500 on February 19th. As the season rapidly approaches, there may be some new betting strategies to try. Can NASCAR Cup Series bets point to a couple of drivers who can win it all this season?
Below are some drivers expected to contend in our NASCAR online betting odds for the 2023 NASCAR Championship. As for some scenarios and possible chances, we cover that briefly, too. So, let us go NASCAR Cup Series Bets by the numbers. It would appear that Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson are the favorites. However, might Bell steal the thunder?

Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson top Hendrick and the numbers, but can they be trusted in the future? There remain some concerns from last year. Look at how things ended for the two drivers. Elliott wound up fourth despite five wins. He got to the “Final Four” yet could not seal the deal at Phoenix. Larson was eliminated shockingly during the “Round Of Eight.” After ten wins in 2021, Larson managed just three in 2022.
The crazy part is how the “Next-Gen Car” rearranged how wins and finishes were spread out. Hendrick enjoyed an advantage early in the season, but that evaporated during the latter portions of 2022. Young guns like Ross Chastain, Tyler Reddick, and Christopher Bell asserted some authority. How much has that impacted the strategy of Hendrick and its top two drivers (three if one includes William Byron)?
Regarding the Next-Gen car at those later races, that is what gives us pause when it comes to Hendrick. Something seemed a little off with their cars as the laps ticked off. Again, the learning curve is important here. Can Elliott and Larson overcome that and be favorites at the same time? The value lies with drivers other than these top two. While they cannot be counted out, it is okay to look elsewhere.
Here at VegasBetting, it remains prudent to remember this well. Why? Simply, NASCAR Cup Series Bets could feature results that do not include Elliott or Larson again in the “Final Four”.
So, who could lead the young guns? The last three champions found a way to come up with the goods at the right time (Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, and Joey Logano). NASCAR Cup Series Bets spotlights on drivers around that sweet spot of +1200 because, hey, it is about profit.
Again, Christopher Bell nearly pulled off three miracles last season in the 2022 NASCAR Playoffs. He won the final races twice to advance and then almost found a way at Phoenix. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver finished third because of three wins and a dozen top-five results. Room for improvement exists, given how Bell started the 2022 campaign. Once he won at Las Vegas, Bell drew some notice.
Yes, there exists a common thread in some of these bold early predictions. Plenty of them features Christopher Bell and the #20 car, making one at VegasBetting wonder. Is this honestly that bold of a take? Some projections suggest Bell could win as many as a half-dozen races in 2023. Bell needs to race every week, and the belief is he is the leader of the young guns and arguably Joe Gibbs Racing when it all breaks down.
People forget how consistent Bell had been during the regular season. Naturally, come the playoffs, the drivers come up clutch only when it counts. Bell enjoyed success in the playoffs, mostly when it counted. This year must be different. For NASCAR Cup Series Bets, Bell is our pick to have a shot at the title. Hopefully, some bet him at around +1000 to +1200 before bets get placed on him.
Again, we have a few more NASCAR Cup Series Bets. The safest choice here is Ross Chastain and Trackhouse Racing. Did anyone see those last four races from 2022? Chastain was in it to win it every single time. All he needed was one more pass, maybe two.
Do note that Chastain raced that way all season. Besides that “wall ride,” the #1 car rode that Next-Gen car into the ground. He found ways to make passes most would or could not. Yes, there were risks, controversy, and some bumps, but Chastain drove to win!
Only Joey Logano foiled Chastain’s hopes last year. Things broke so right for the Team Penske driver. Maybe those happen for Chastain, who led all racers with 15 top-five results. Can he win more than twice? If the Trackhouse driver ends up in victory lane four or more times, the possibility rises.
There is no wild long shot for 2023. However, one driver to keep an eye on
Aside from the Ty Gibbs of the world, Tyler Reddick is one intriguing name, but Bubba Wallace could also step up in this spot. Wallace lays in at around +4000. He will make the chase this time.
Our top choice for the NASCAR Cup Series Bets includes Christopher Bell and Ross Chastain.
