The pressure is on for NFL teams out there who are hoping to make their way to the playoffs. In Week 14, we saw some massive games, with several squads standing out. Now, there’s a lot on the line moving forward. This piece has our NFL Week 15 picks for the 2022 season. Which squads will record much-needed victories this weekend?
Commanders are favored vs. the Giants in a monster showdown
Looking at the NFC, the Commanders are favored vs. the Giants in a monster showdown. This matchup will come for Sunday Night Football, with millions across the globe ready to see who will record a strong victory. Both of these teams are 7-5-1 and in dire need of a win. This is a must-win game for the two teams, as they’re eyeing one of the NFC Wild Card spots.
With the Giants, things have only gone from bad to worse for them in the past month. In their last five games, the Giants are 1-3-1. Their lone victory came against the Texans on Nov. 13, but they’ve also lost to the Cowboys, Lions, and Eagles while posting a 20-20 tie vs. Washington in Week 13. It’ll be on Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley to try and get this team on the right track.
As for the Commanders, Ron Rivera’s team was on a bye during Week 13, but they’ve got plenty of confidence leading up to this matchup with the Giants. Quarterback Taylor Heinicke is playing as well as you would expect, while wideout Terry McLaurin will be ready to do his things vs. the weak NY Giants secondary. The aerial attack has the potential to post big numbers.
According to the best-rated sportsbooks, which includes the reliable Bovada review, the Commanders hold -125 NFL betting odds to record a win, while the Giants have been set at +150. From our chair, Washington will enjoy the home-field advantage and improve to 8-5-1. The Commanders are our pick for this one. Do you agree? Check out our best NFL betting sites to get a wager in.
The Bills will take down the Dolphins on Sunday
Meanwhile, in the AFC, the Bills will take down the Dolphins on Sunday. This matchup is going to feature Josh Allen taking on Tua Tagovailoa. These are two of the best signal-callers in the conference, which only makes things even more intriguing. Both of these quarterbacks had very different games in Week 14, though, which has a lot of people talking.
With Allen, he powered the Bills to a win over the Jets. What makes Allen so special is that he can hurt you with his strong right arm or quick wheels. The Jets tried everything to contain him, but that task proved too difficult. Buffalo still holds strong Super Bowl odds, and it will be on Allen to lift them over the top here.
Meanwhile, for the Dolphins, it was a Week 14 to forget for them, as they traveled to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers and suffered a disappointing loss. Tagovailoa was way off when throwing the ball, which was strange. He, Tyreek Hill, and Jaylen Waddle must be better this weekend if the Dolphins want to try and upset the Bills over in upstate New York.
Per the oddsmakers, the Bills hold -335 odds to post a win, while the Dolphins have been set at +270. When Miami is playing its best, they’re a tough team to handle. However, we haven’t seen that squad version in recent games. Because of this, we’ll rock with the Bills as our pick. Look for Allen and Stefon Diggs to have big games against Miami.
Seattle is hoping to upset San Francisco in Week 15
Lastly, Seattle hopes to upset San Francisco in Week 15, as these two sides are ready for battle at Lumen Field in the Pacific Northwest. The Seahawks are coming off a tough result in Week 14, as they suffered a stunning loss at home to the Carolina Panthers. This wasn’t expected, and to make things worse, quarterback Geno Smith had arguably his worst game of the season.
The 49ers enjoyed a much different result, as San Francisco hosted Tom Brady and Tampa Bay – the 49ers dominated and cruised to a win. Rookie quarterback Brock Purdy recorded his first start, and he was brilliant. Unfortunately for San Francisco, Deebo Samuel suffered a high-ankle sprain, and he’s expected to be out for about a month.
Despite Samuel not being able to play against the Seahawks, San Francisco holds -142 odds to take down Seattle. This is one of the best rivalries in the NFC, and bragging rights will be on the line. We think San Francisco will pull things off on the road. They’re our pick. Look for San Francisco to make plenty of noise in the postseason too.
