There are only five more game weekends left in the National Football League and things are as interesting as ever. Later this week, there are some big-time showdowns that fans aren’t want to miss. This article has our NFL Week 14 picks for the 2022 season. Which teams will record needed wins with the postseason inching closer and closer?
Raiders are favorites over the lowly Rams
What a difference a year can make for Los Angeles. Heading into Sunday, the Raiders are favorites over the lowlyRams, which no one would have believed heading into the campaign. Los Angeles won the Super Bowl last year, and despite losing several key pieces, they were still stacked on both sides of the ball. Well, the wheels have fallen completely off, and this squad is in shambles.
This past weekend, the Rams hosted the Seattle Seahawks and quarterback Geno Smith lit up their defense. DK Metcalf had a day to remember, as did Tyler Lockett. Offensively, the Rams were simply too inconsistent, and they once again were without star quarterback Matthew Stafford. Things aren’t getting easier for them, as the red-hot Raiders will be in town.
Las Vegas looks like a different team in recent weeks, with the offense finally starting to wake up. This is largely thanks to Davante Adams, Derek Carr and Josh Jacobs. These three have looked superb over the past month, with Adams really shining. In Week 13 against the Chargers, he cleared 100 yards and posted two scores.
According to the best-rated sportsbooks, which includes the reliable Bovada review, the Raiders currently hold -240 NFL betting odds to record a win, while the Rams have been set at +200. It will take a miracle for LA to record a win here. For the Raiders, a win will keep them in the postseason hunt. We’re going with Las Vegas as our pick. Agree? The Eagles are expected to dominate the Giants
Over in the NFC East, the Eagles are expected to dominate the Giants at MetLife Stadium. The Eagles are now on top of the world, as they’re 11-1. They’re the top team in the league, and they have seen their NFL Super Bowl odds continue to skyrocket. Jalen Hurts also in the MVP hunt with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
With Philly, running back Miles Sanders has been superb, while wide receiver A.J. Brown has proven to be worth everything the Eagles gave up to land him. Last week, Hurts put on a show against the Titans, and now he’ll be looking to do more of the same this weekend against Big Blue. The Giants will have a rough time trying to contain this offense.
With the Giant’s offense, they looked sharp early on in Week 13 against the Commanders, but as has been the case most of the year, they looked rough in the second half. For the Giants to try and stun the Eagles, they will have to play perfectly on offense and defense. Brian Daboll and his coordinators will need to draw up quite the plan.
Per the oddsmakers, the Eagles hold an unreal -290 odds to win, while the Giants are at +235. Hurts is going to have a field day against NY’s banged-up defense. This one could get ugly quickly, as Philly has been an unstoppable week in and week out. The Eagles are 100 percent our pick to record a win. Look for them to improve to 12-1 on the year.
Lastly, the Chiefs will bounce back vs. the Broncos on Sunday; we do not doubt our minds about it. Kansas City is coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Bengals on Sunday. Joe Burrow and Co. could record the needed plays late to come out on top in this one. This is the third straight loss for the Chiefs going up against Cincinnati, which is hard to believe.
Now, KC will look to record a win going up against the Denver Broncos. The Broncos have been one of the worst teams in the NFL this year, and Russell Wilson is not living up to his massive contract. People all over Denver are furious with his play. The Wilson trade will go down as one of the worst in history, that’s for sure.
With Wilson playing terribly and the offense failing to put up points on the board, there’s little to no chance they will be able to keep things close against Mahomes and Kansas City. Don’t even think about taking the Broncos to win this one, and we’re going with the Chiefs all the way. Denver’s season is surely going to get worse this weekend. Sorry Denver fans, another loss is coming your way.
