After UFC 250 in Vegas, we head to the “UFC Fight Island” or Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. The event will take place on Saturday, July 11. While it’s a shame the event isn’t staying in North America, fans wouldn’t be able to attend regardless due to the novel COVID-19 virus.
It’s the second bout between the American Max Holloway and the current featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, with the Australian taking Holloway’s belt in the previous fight.
Not only that but we also have the return of “Thug” Rose Namajunas, as she takes on the Brazilian Jessica Andrade. Rose is a real fan favorite after she beat Joanna Jedrzejczyk in dramatic fashion at UFC 217.
With so many great fights on the card, it’s hard to not get excited. But will all the favorites retain their belts at the end of the night on June 11th? We’ll dig into the fights in the next section.

The Nigerian Nightmare to pick Masvidal to pieces
Kamaru Usman stands as the undisputed Welterweight champion, beating the All American Colby Covington in his previous fight via decision.
The Nigerian a technical fighter, but also possesses great knockout power. It will be important for Masvidal to stay alert and avoid getting caught at any stage during the fight.
Masvidal has been preparing for this fight for a while. He wants the title before he retires. This will bode well in the octagon as Masvidal is an extremely dangerous fighter, his physicality will be a major factor in the fight and he’s more than capable of dropping Usman.
Take Usman to win at -300, while Masvidal is at +230 with Bovada.
The Australian to win again in the second fight between these two
The UFC betting odds heavily favor the champion in this one, having taken Max Holloway apart in their previous bout.
Holloway can certainly make a case for being one of the greatest featherweights of all time and if he can claw back his belt off a lively and highly motivated Volkanovski he’ll cement his name in the history books.
Volkanovski won’t give up the belt easily. He’s looked in fine form and is one of the contenders to fight the formidable Khabib. If he can win this one that fight might be the next super fight on the cards.
Pick Alexander Volkanovski at -250 to win as the favorite, with the former titleholder and potential hall-of-famer Max Holloway at +190 BetOnline.
Petr Yan to be too much for the Brazilian Veteran
Jose Aldo has fallen from grace since his freak loss to the Notorious Conor McGregor all those years ago.
Petr Yan is a formidable opponent and he’s really put his mark on the UFC. It will be a very tough fight for the Brazilian – we can’t imagine him doing much on the night.
We’ve seen him training hard, so we know he’s ready. But it feels like he’s been in the game too long now and Petr Yan is part of a younger generation of elite fighters.
For the latest odds, we would advise taking a look at the very best UFC betting sites for all the odds and fight updates.
Take Petr Yan to win -250, while the ex-champ Jose Aldo is at odds of +190 with GT-bets.
