The honeymoon is officially over for the Las Vegas Raiders. This team had so much promise during the offseason, with the addition of Josh McDaniels as head coach and Davante Adams as the No. 1 wide receiver pumping up so many fans. Now, though, the fact of the matter is that Vegas bettors are losing faith in the Raiders due to a 0-3 start, which no one saw coming.
Per a report, the number of people betting on the Raiders is way down already, as the Raiders Super Bowl odds have plummeted to start the year. This team really did have a lot of promise to start the campaign, but them losing three straight games is someone no one expected. The offense hasn’t lived up to the hype and Derek Carr isn’t making the kind of progress that fans were hoping for.

People thought they had a chance to try and compete for a title this year, but their Super Bowl betting odds currently stand at a lowly +2500. Yes, there’s still plenty of time for the team to get back on the right track and make some noise, but they’ve got to wake up and fast.
Luckily for the Raiders, the rest of the AFC West has been far from perfect. Everyone figured that the Kansas City Chiefs would be able to walk away with the division title, but they were brought back down to earth in Week 3 with a rough loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The main takeaway from that matchup was that Patrick Mahomes and the offense had trouble moving the ball.
Elsewhere, the Chargers are dealing with a plethora of injuries and the Denver Broncos aren’t living up to the hype either with Russell Wilson as the starting quarterback. Wilson is making around $50 million a year, yet he’s got the offense looking basic. Again, there’s time for the Raiders to snap out of their funk and make something happen, but they’ve simply got to record a win this weekend.
Despite Kansas City showing they’re not perfect, the Chiefs remain the favorite in Vegas to win the AFC West. Obviously, there are still 14 games left in the regular season for each team out there and anything can happen the rest of the way. With the Chiefs, their offense isn’t going to stay in this funk forever. That will never be the case when Mahomes is the guy under center.

Carr needs to step his game up and find Adams consistently. Otherwise, this team could miss out on the playoffs.
One team to keep a close eye on in the AFC is Miami, as the Dolphins are seeing an uptick in Vegas bets right now. Miami has established itself as a serious Super Bowl contender after they took down the Bills in Week 3. Everyone figured the Bills would be able to come away with a win, but Tua Tagovailoa made some huge throws in the second half to help his team pull off the upset.
The Bills felt untouchable, but the Dolphins made a huge statement. Because of this, people in Vegas like their Super Bowl chances and they’re putting down dough on them. For Tagovailoa, he keeps silencing his haters’ thanks to his strong play. Not only that, but Jaylen Waddle is becoming a fan favorite thanks to his brilliant play. All in all, this team is really fun to watch and the good time should keep rolling the rest of the way for them.
