August has seen things be downright electric in terms of football bets being made. With the NFL preseason here, countless fans have been placing wagers on the action. It also has people excited about the college football campaign to arrive too, as the Las Vegas sportsbooks have seen NCAAF bets pour in, which has been great to see.
Per a report, the sportsbooks and casinos across the Las Vegas strip have seen many wagers being placed as the season is getting ready to start this weekend. While there isn’t a full schedule on the docket for the college ranks, things will be taken to the next level next weekend, with countless exciting matchups ready to take place.
College football returning is massive for so many people out there. Not only do they enjoy watching all of the action on a Saturday, but few things make those games as exciting as putting down some dough on things. This college football season figures to be incredibly electric, as the usual powerhouses figure to be in the mix to win the National Championship.
Last season, Georgia and Alabama met with the natty on the line, and millions of dollars were bet on that showdown. Come this winter; people will check the best NCAAF betting odds once the College Football Playoff gets here too. Alabama and Georgia will surely be in the hunt, but don’t forget about Ohio State, USC, Michigan and others leading up to things.
Alabama holds the No. 1 odds to win the title this year
As you might have guessed, Alabama holds the No. 1 odds to win the title this year, and they’re receiving many bets early on. The Crimson Tide is so dangerous this year that junior quarterback Bryce Young will be back on the field this campaign after winning the Heisman Trophy last year. Young is such a strong player; it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him go back-to-back to win the Heisman.
People are no question checking out the best-rated sportsbooks – take a look at the reliable Bovada review for example – for the updated Alabama odds. They’re not wasting time in putting down money on them. Entering the new campaign, Alabama has been set at +180 to win the natty. That’s an impressive number, but not too far behind is Ohio State, which has checked in at +300, while Georgia is at +350.
From our chair, an underdog team to keep an eye on would 100 percent by USC. The Trojans have loads of excitement surrounding the program right now, with Lincoln Riley taking over as head coach. Not only that, but they’ve added quarterback Caleb Williams and wide receiver Jordan Addison via the transfer portal. Those are two of the top offensive playmakers in the country.
Because of this, things are trending upwards for USC, as they also have the top odds to win the Pac-12 title this year. USC has the best chance to get to the CFP out of all the Pac-12 programs. There’s high hopes for Washington State now that Cameron Ward is their QB, but USC is no question the better school. Will USC have what it takes to surprise people and potentially win it all? Stay tuned to find out.
Week 1 NCAA odds are out and there’s some massive favorites
On top of looking at the futures bets, remember that the Week 1 NCAA odds are out and there’s some massive favorites that have already been listed. For Alabama, they’re opening the season and going up against Utah State. With Alabama being an SEC powerhouse and Utah State playing their football in the Mountain West Conference, we don’t have to tell you that this should be domination from the Crimson Tide. This one could get ugly early on.
Alabama is listed as 39.5-point favorites, which is wild to even think about. It’s going to take more than a miracle for Utah State to keep things close in this one. Look for Young to explode offensively in this one and throw for 3-4 touchdowns. On top of that, look for his playmakers around him to record some impressive statistics. It will be great to see Nick Saban and his coaching staff in Tuscaloosa.
Elsewhere for Week 1 battles, people can’t wait for Michigan and Washington to face off. The Wolverines need to make a statement in Ann Arbor against the visitors from Seattle. Coach Jim Harbaugh wants to record a splash in the opening game of the year, and there will be no better way to do that than to record a convincing showing against the Huskies. Michigan should come out on top, but you never know what might happen there.
