NFL training camps are officially getting started this week and the anticipation for Week 1 of the regular season is only going to keep climbing. While there’s loads of excitement for the NFC teams, don’t forget about the other conference either. In this piece, we have NFL picks for AFC teams to win 10 games. Which sides will hit the double-digit mark?
Bills are a lock to win at least 10 games
There’s never a guarantee when it comes to betting, but the Bills are a lock to win at least 10 games. As things stand, the Bills hold the No. 1 Super Bowl odds and it’s easy to see why. Josh Allen is primed for another massive year for this team, while the other playmakers are ready to help the Bills go over the top too. In this case, Stefan Diggs, Devin Singletary, Jordan Poyer and more are hungry.
For Buffalo, this really feels like it could be their year to get back on top. The Bills have been quite close the last two seasons. In the winter of 2020, Allen and Co. suffered a tough loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. Then last year, the Chiefs were able to take them down in the Divisional Round. It was a heartbreaking loss for the Bills.
Now, though, Buffalo has revamped things on both sides of the ball. On defense, the unit now features stud pass-rusher Von Miller. Miller was a beast last season for the Los Angeles Rams, helping the NFC West side win the Super Bowl. Now, Miller is ready to try and help the Bills do the same thing. It’d sure be a great accomplishment for him if he could pull that off.
There are certainly other teams in the mix to try and take down the Bills, but they should be in the Super Bowl hunt. As for winning 10 games, the best rated sportsbooks have given them -470 NFL odds to get that job done. From our chair, there’s simply no way the Bills don’t reach that mark. We’re going with a minimum of 10 wins for them as our pick here.
Kansas City should also win a minimum of 10 games
Speaking of the Chiefs, Kansas City should also win a minimum of 10 games this season as well. Things begin and end here with Patrick Mahomes. The former MVP is getting ready for another monster year and nothing is going to slow his offense down. What will stand out for KC, though, is the fact that Tyreek Hill is no longer with the unit. For Mahomes and Co., that’s going to make a difference.
However, just because Hill is now with the Miami Dolphins, that doesn’t mean that Andy Reid’s men are going to be slowing down one bit. If anything, this will only motivate Mahomes to take things to a new level. The addition of JuJu Smith-Schuster is exciting too, and it will surely be great for the passing game. Smith-Schuster has loads of potential for this team.
On the ground, running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is ready to have a big season. He dealt with loads of injuries last year, but the coaching staff is hopeful that he will be able to stay fully fit this year and then record some big numbers. He’s a great runner, but he can also do a fine job of catching the ball out of the backfield. That will be big for Mahomes.
As things stand, the Chiefs have -210 odds to win at least 10 games. They’re once again looking like one of the best teams in the AFC. If it weren’t for the Bills, then we’d all be talking about the Chiefs potentially being the ones to represent the conference in the AFC for the Super Bowl. Despite that, though, we’re 100 percent going with KC to win at least 10 of their contests.
Last but not least, can the Baltimore Ravens get to 10 wins? This is what everyone is going to be waiting to see, as there’s an unreal amount of pressure on Lamar Jackson. Jackson is yet to get his contract extension from Baltimore. In order for them to present him with an unreal amount of money, then he simply has to put on a show this year for the Ravens. They’ll need to win the AFC North.
However, that’s not going to be easy with the Cincinnati Bengals ready to grab the division, while the Browns trading for Deshaun Watson sure has people talking as well. In order for the Ravens to try and silence that talk, Jackson is of course going to have to look brilliant from start to finish this season. That’s not going to be easy, but if anyone can do it, he sure can. The Ravens have -175 odds to reach 10 wins and we think they’ll do it.
