With this, Vegas set to benefit from COVID testing being lifted should come as a surprise to absolutely no one. In recent months, more and more people have made their way to Sin City for some betting.
However, the numbers of international travellers haven’t been close to where they were before. While it wasn’t written off for people to head to Las Vegas because of a negative Covid test, it made things a bit more tricky. Now that this is no longer a requirement, though, this should surely mean more people making their way over to the best city in Nevada. The local casinos and sportsbooks are ready for that to happen.
“Expanding international travel has been a top priority for our industry, the state of Nevada and the Travel and Tourism Advisory Board, and we are grateful to the Biden administration and congressional leaders for their collaboration on this issue,” MGM CEO Bill Hornbuckle said via The Street. “The United States is home to some of the most popular, iconic destinations in existence and is a beacon for visitors from around the world.
As you can see from that quote from Mr Hornbuckle, MGM couldn’t be more excited about the laws being changed. With this, places like MGM are going to see even more people head their way to not only make some bets but also to take in the shows and eat at the restaurants. All in all, this is monster news for local businesses, including MGM. We’ll have to wait and see how much the numbers increase in this case.
All in all, Las Vegas feels like it’s getting back to normal, which has been great to see for everyone involved. Despite the international travel not being close to where it usually is, people within the United States have been flocking to Sin City for their vacations like normal. After things were delayed in Vegas hosting the monster event, things couldn’t have gone much better this time around for people who went to Vegas.
