The NHL Stanley Cup playoffs are just a few days away now, so it’s high time we had a look at some futures bets on who will win it, and we’re starting by having a look at the betting on whichDivision will provide the winner of the 2022 Stanley Cup.
Along with which Conference will provide the winner of the Stanley Cup, these markets usually come in the NHL Future Specials category. And at the moment, BetUS has these markets live.

Stanley Cup Winning Division Betting
At the moment, the Colorado Avalanche is the betting favorite to win the 2022 Stanley Cup. They’ve been favorites all season, and are currently +350 with BetUS. Their main rivals in the outright winner betting are the Florida Panthers at +550.
If you’re running with the opinion that Colorado Avalanche will win the 2022 Stanley Cup, you may be interested to know that their Central Division is the second favorite in the Stanley Cup Winner Division betting.
The Division running hot at the moment in this market is the Atlantic. Yes, BetUS think that it’s more likely that one of the Panthers, Maple Leafs, Lightning, or Bruins will win the Stanley Cup; than they do, one of the Avalanche, Wild, Blues, or Predators!
In truth, there’s not much in the betting between the leading two. The main reason I believe the Atlantic Division is slightly shorter in the odds is that after the Avalanche and Panthers, the remaining Atlantic teams are stronger than the Central teams.
The longer odds bets come from outside of the main two. At +375, the Pacific could be a good value, and the same can also be said of the Metropolitan Division at +450.
Why Bet on the Stanley Cup Winning Division Market?
So, why would you bet on this market, when you get better NHL betting odds from betting on an individual team?
If you’re one of the many punters firmly behind Jared Bedner’s team, then with the Avalanche at +350 in the odds for the NHL playoffs, it makes no real sense to be betting on the Central Division at +200 to provide the 2022 Stanley Cup-winning team.
If on the other hand, you think the Avalanche will win the title, but you have a few reservations after their recent drop in form, and you think that the dark horse in the playoffs is Minnesota Wild, you might have a wager on the Central Division instead.
This gives you even more chances to win. Call it an insurance policy if you like! Now, let’s have a look at the teams from each division with a chance of winning the 2022 Stanley Cup.
Atlantic Division @ +175
The big draw from the Atlantic Division is the Florida Panthers. The Panthers are only 29-years-old as a franchise and are yet to win a Stanley Cup.
Andrew Brunette’s side won both the Division and the Eastern Conference, and are +550 to win the Stanley Cup outright.
Florida Panthers
Toronto Maple Leafs
Tampa Bay Lightning
Boston Bruins
The Maple Leafs and the Lightning are both decent outside bets, helping ensure the Atlantic Division tops the betting market.

Like the Panthers in the Atlantic, the Colorado Avalanche also won their division and conference (the Western Conference).
The Avalanche have had a bit of blip in recent matches, but this only came after both titles were all but confirmed. It doesn’t bode great going into the playoffs though.
Colorado Avalanche
Minnesota Wild
St. Louis Blues
Nashville Predators
Dallas Stars
Elsewhere, the Central Division is going to have five representatives in this market, with the Dallas Stars finishing higher in the Eastern Conference than the Vegas Golden Knights.
Central DivisionTo Provide Winner of 2022 Stanley Cup
One of the main reasons why the Pacific Division is the third favorite in this betting market is the failure of the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Golden Knights have had an extremely disappointing second half of the season, and even if they did squeak through to the playoffs, it’s debatable if they would have been real contenders to win the Stanley Cup.
Their poor form leaves the Pacific Division with only three franchises in the final 16.
Calgary Flames
Edmonton Oilers
Los Angeles Kings
The Calgary Flames are a serious threat to win the Stanley Cup though. They are third favorites at +900, but they are pretty much carrying the hopes of the Pacific Division on their own.

Finally, the Metropolitan Division. There’s no real standout team in the Metropolitan, and it took until the Hurricanes’ penultimate game for the division to be decided.
Carolina Hurricanes
New York Rangers
Pittsburgh Penguins
Washington Capitals
The Hurricanes are the standout team in this division. But the fact it took them so long to see off the threat of the New York Rangers, suggests the +1000 currently available on them might not be the best value wager going into the playoffs.
