Even though there are plenty of Major League games to bet on Tuesday night, we have chosen the one featuring the Indians and the Diamondbacks. These are two teams that have not played well this season, with Arizona struggling from first pitch of opening day. These teams will meet for just two games in Phoenix and will feature two of the worst starting rotations in baseball. Despite all of this, we like Cleveland on the road in the series opener.
Cleveland hoping Masterson figures it out soon
Justin Masterson has not been himself this year, pitching to an ERA just south of five. In his last start, Masterson was effective, holding the Angels to one run in seven innings pitched. Masterson is one of the worst starters in the Majors when on the road, pitching to a 6.20 ERA, which is fifth-worst in the league. He will look to build off his previous strong start in an effort to go on a streak.
Arizona relying on Miley to turn things around at home
We were not joking when we said this is a battle of two poor starting rotations. Wade Miley takes the hill tonight for Arizona with one of the worst ERA’s at home this season. Miley’s ERA at home is 5.40, which is good for sixth-worst in the Major Leagues. Miley’s overall ERA is just under that of Masterson’s overall ERA, and he sports a 3-6 record on the year. Miley has also allowed 17 home runs this season.
We are going to place our bets at BetOnline.ag when the Indians visit the Diamondbacks on Tuesday night. We are going to place 10 percent of our bankroll on the Indians and the OVER eight total runs scored at -110 as Cleveland snaps a three-game losing streak and hands Arizona its third loss in a row.
